  1. Technically, everything about this game is average. The graphics are passable, the sound and speech are good (but hardly mind-blowing) and the gameplay is familiar.
  2. A fairly by-the-book first-person shooter given depth by the Star Trek mythos.
  3. If you're a fan of the show add a point here to take the game from good to very good.

The level design of the game is decent, the atmosphere is great, the characters have character, but the control is lousy, the framerate is lousy, and the game looks like a bad port.
  5. Surprisingly compelling story, expectedly terrible gameplay.

Underneath the offensive layer of crap that coats every facet of this version is a more than adequate game desperately trying to get out. [Feb 2002, p.113]

Well, this is one of those games. Elite Force is one of the most fun games I've played in a long time. And as for you guys obsessed with Well, this is one of those games. Elite Force is one of the most fun games I've played in a long time. And as for you guys obsessed with graphics, grow up. Graphics most definantly do NOT make or break a game. Look at Mario. One of the best games ever, and you're a guy made up of about a dozen little squares. True Trek fans won't give a crap if the graphics aren't quite up to par. You're not a guy made of a few little squares, and the graphics aren't that bad. Great story and awesome multiplayer. Full Review »
