Were you a fan of Suikoden 2? Did you enjoy building a Fantasy kingdom, recruiting all sorts of interesting characters, and following a coherent story through a world full of genuine intrigue? Explore a world of mediocrity from the perspective of several completely boring cookie cutter characters. Rise to prominence late game in a boring dilapidated mansion that looks like some generic dungeon ruins and offers none of the charm of the last game. Suikoden III, it's everything you loved about Suikoden flushed down a corporate toilet. PS: FuKonami Expand

This game was absolutely terrible; there was hardly any music and you constantly see the same events over and over again with the main characters. It bites all kind of ass and hell I love almost every rpg but not this one.

Improved in more ways than is physically possible to list.

The story is like a bag of bricks I had to heave along as I slogged my way forward...What a disappointment. [Dec 2002, p.172]

Although Suikoden 3 is better than the average Japenese RPG, it's clear that with the move to 3D Konami has tried to freshen the formula. But by watering down the series' bastion gameplay elements it may have alienated all but the fanatics. [Sept 2003]
