  • Summary: Super Monkey Ball Deluxe features 300 stages (114 from "Super Monkey Ball," 140 from "Super Monkey Ball 2," and 46 Deluxe-exclusive boards. In addition to new stages, Super Monkey Ball Deluxe offers a new Challenge mode, integrating varying skill settings (Beginner, Advanced, and Expert) into one fluid ramp up, rather than breaking them out as independent gameplay sections. There will also be additional stages in the story mode. All twelve of the party games from Super Monkey Ball 1 & 2 are also included. [Sega] Expand

  1. The game can be maddeningly frustrating, requiring precision and steely nerves, but also hugely addictive.
  2. A huge and solid compilation of old monkey ball mayhem. The PS2 version looks a little bit dated and dull, yet the simple gameplay shines as brightly as ever. The bonus games are also fun. [July 05]
  3. In many ways this is the ideal stock title that you need for those occasions when people who don't really like games end up in the same room with those who really do. And you're all out of gin.
  4. A fantastic package of painfully difficult single player experiences and exciting multiplayer goodness. [May 2005, p 78]
  5. 80
The game's graphics are still dated despite the new background changes and themed stages. But it's no biggie -- the monkeys are still sucrosely cute, and the levels are well designed.
  6. Puzzling fun at its best.
  7. A vastly entertaining, if flawed, port of a modern day classic.

While the first two monkey ball games were great this one is even better. The increased number of stages is a bit challenging and i has the perfect number of minigames. This game seems to have everything balanced out. Expand
