  1. The best feature of the game, by far, is the original script, story line, and depth the game goes into for the London Underworld and how easily it sweeps you into the whole genre.
  2. Brutal, and urgently in your face, the game aims and scores often enough to recommend it highly.

Switch on those subtitles (the cockney accents make English sound like a bloody foreign language) or else you'll potentially miss out on some of the finest dialogue in a video game. Our favorite line: "She's had more pricks than a second-hand dartboard." Oi!
  4. Fun as this game is to play, the best moments come when you just sit back and observe. Wonderfully acted, written, and directed motion-capture cut scenes play like the Snatch follow-up Guy Ritchie should have made, further evidence of the narrowing gap between video game and movie production values.

    It's a snack, not a meal, but it's definitely a tasty one. [Feb 2005, p.78]
  6. The characters are hit and miss (especially the cop) and some of the gameplay is rather plain and leaves much more to be desired. I would love to see this game on the next generation Sony system though.
  7. It honestly has more of the feel that the original "Driver" gave on the Playstation, and that's a good thing. However, it isn't enough of an improvement to truly recommend this title as anything other than a rental or budget purchase.

Performance issues occasionally hinder the experience but only marginally. It's super cheap nowadays so if you're looking for a challenging game with great combat mechanics this game is for you. Extra props to the game for being one of the only open-world games set in London. Full Review »

Some may see these games as a game trying to be GTA. It is similar to Grand Theft Auto, but is different in a lot of ways. One big way is that you don't know how much life or ammo you have left and the cops actually try to catch you. The way the cars drive in this game are smoother than the first game. The story is very different from any other game I have played. The other ending isn't that different and the story doesn't change if you decide to get the other ending. It is a fun game to play even after you beat it because there are other modes you can do as racing,Being a taxi driver, and of course free roam.
