  1. While it’s far from perfect, The Spiderwick Chronicles makes for an enjoyable adventure, especially for young ones. Genre fans might find it a bit too simple, but those who aren’t above playing a “kid’s game” will find a surprisingly respectable adventure title.
  2. If children don't become bored easily, this game could offer endless hours of exploration and problem-solving. However, the slow pace may become annoying for those in need of more action.
  3. Movie licensed titles are often less than satisfactory, but The Spiderwick Chronicles manages to pair decent gameplay with impressive production values.

The CGI world created is big enough to fit the story portrayed by the movie, and much more appealing, with lush vegetation and natural environments that immerse you right into the game. There's a very good amount of fun, extra missions to complete besides the main story missions, which is also very well sized. The characters are also fun to play with. Overall, The Spiderwick Chronicles is a surprisingly well balanced, and fun game for it's genre. Full Review »
