  • Summary: The year is 2027. The machines of Skynet have risen, reaping a bloody harvest of human flesh across the globe. You are a soldier of Tech Com, a ragged team of human resistance fighters intent upon stopping the overwhelming onslaught of cybernetic assassins in post-apocalyptic Los Angeles. Your ultimate goal is to reach a time travel device in time to send Kyle Reese back to 1984, with the hope of preventing a relentless Terminator model T-800 from murdering Sarah Connor, mother of resistance leader John Connor. If you fail in your mission, the resistance will crumble, and no one will survive the rise of the machines. The fate of humanity lies in your hands. [Infogrames] Expand

  1. It’s just too bad T:DoF didn’t aspire to be more than something standard.
  2. The gameplay isn't particularly good, though it's decent enough that fans of the film series might as well consider checking out the game.
  3. Hey, we liked the hordes of emotionless cyborgs with nothing better to do than march towards certain destruction, but expect many to tire of the simple AI.
  4. The game itself is just plain sloppy....horrible camera and grippy controls. [Dec 2002, p.40]
  5. 56
This all-style/little-substance attempt at artistic greatness is saved only because of its convincingly recreated Hollywood atmosphere.
  6. The shifting camera angles almost always lead to confusion. [Dec 2002, p.174]
  7. Sounds are OK and some (repeat, SOME) of the graphics are decent, but Dawn of Fate isn’t worth the gas money disappointed customers will spend rushing back to the store to beg for a refund.

I thought that this game was overall excellent minus a few cheesy details. The tasks could have been more challenging and the bots tougher, and where is Arnold!! Expand

The game itself could have been thought out a little better, the camera angles are very iritating. this game would have been much better as a first person shooter, but overall i found the storyline and game play to be quite good. NEARLY BRILLIANT! Expand

This game inspired by the Terminator universe is a generic and mediocre experience overall. First off, the gameplay and camera angles rip off from Devil May Cry, which makes it harder to get in to; the graphics are choppy, the music in the game is dull material from metal artists Fear Factory. It's story is neat, but could of been told better. It is a very simple game to get through, but their are elements that could of been improved. Expand

The storyline is pretty good and so are the graphics, but the poor robots just walk around saying, "Darrrrrr...". The camera angles get pretty annoying after a while too since it makes shooting kind of hard. Expand

The graphics are great, but the controls are what ruined the game. The camera angles are completely messed up-- they rival those of MGS2, but they change so constantly it is hard to adjust to the changing controls. Expand

I dink dat da creators of T1 T2 and T3, mainly C2 pictures should get thier L1's and thier L2's in F-ing order, cause this Game is a shame to the name of the game that we have all come to fame. Geeze Loise, terminate it pleese. Expand
