This adventure looks great, its landscape dominated by crooked buildings and brooding grey skies; navigating Jack is simple and the characters are all well realised. A perfect children’s game.
Boss battles are simple, yet well done, incorporating Jack's whip-like Soul Robber and a musical rhythm sub-game that's just very cool. [Nov 2005, p.76]

Amazing game, just like the original tim Burton's movie! the story is great! level design and characters are way too fun,wish it's remastered for next gen

The only game that gives me enthusiasm to beat, I played it so much that i almost got the max coin cap.

This B-grade game isn't going to win any awards, but as far as movie-related video games go, it's one of the better entries.
Unless you really enjoyed watching The Nightmare Before Christmas, there are plenty of other action adventure games with much more value.
The only problem is, it doesn't take long for combat to feel repetitive, because all non-boss enemies are dealt with in the same way -- whip, whip, whip, grab, swing, toss, repeat.
As a fan of the movie, I really love the characters, but the uninspired and repetitive gameplay really hurts it in the long run.
While it captures the sweet essence of the film from so long ago, it fails to motivate with its stale gameplay.

I love this game. It's probably mostly nostalgia, but it's a great adaptation of the movie to game form!

lo jugamos en directo y nos gusto, la música es muy buena esta basada en la pelicula , el gameplay recuerda mucho a devil may cry con toques de resident evil en los puzles , la historia esta bastante entretenida y con guiños a la película, las peleas con los jefes son excelentes y la parte de la música quick time esta bastante, ahora no todo es perfecto siento que el juego aveces se pone muy aburrido y en vez de 24 podrían ser 14 y hay momentos muy tediosos como algunos puzle, pero recomendado si te gusto la película
