An unconventional - hence invigorating - impetuous, inciting, and utterly, utterly playable first-person multiplaying affair.
The game is slicker than snot on a cold doorknob when you get a few friends together for some serious fragging.

One of the best games I've ever played, if you have a PS2 you must get this game along with the second and I regret not saving my Playstation 2. Timesplitters is my most played game with my brother during my childhood, so many memories of an awesome game.

One of the cleanest of the launch games, despite the fact the game takes on a cartoon-y, B-movie art style than the potential for realism that most other developers choose to trumpet.
Fans of the N64 duo of "GoldenEye" and "Perfect Dark" should definitely give this one a try.
If you're a friend-less hermit living in the mountains of Montana you may not get the full experience from this game, but if you've got people to play with, it's easy to overlook Timesplitters' flaws.
While story elements take a backseat to the action, they aren't missed as the mindless shooting speaks louder than words.
Just more of the same old formula in a candy shell. Take away the coatings and purportedly new features, and the game finds its way back to its roots - in the past.
FPS in which you battle through the ages against zombies, mutants and aliens with a variety of time-appropriate weaponry and hordes of enemies to dispatch. Its simple, linear levels, cartoony graphics and arcade sensibilities make it almost feel like a shooting gallery game that's come off the rails, but it's a lot of fun to play.

Frantic FPS action. Me and my friends spent hours upon hours of hilarious multiplayer fun on this game. Story mode also very fun. ( -1 for there being almost no 'story!)

Fun first person shooter with interesting enemies and time lines to play through just unfortunately the characters you play make no difference to your experience and there is zero storyline it acts more of a fun arcade game to play with friends rather than yourself but gameplay is very well done and easy to play

Unfortunately for me I only lasted 10 minutes playing this. The likely reason is that it is 2019 and this game has been surpassed by too many new titles in the genre. If you are a fan of retro gaming I wouldn't say this is bad in fact it has a lot of charm however I was immediately and solely turned off by the aiming dynamics. There are not enough options and in this game I was frustrated by the rudimentary shooting system. If I had played this in 2000 when it came out I think I would rate the game much higher but again unfortunately I cannot make this game newer than it actually is and had to shelve it quite early after meticulously experimenting with the options and finding none comparable to next generation. I like the graphical style that is fine I just have too huge a list of games to play through that this does not merit going back in time. From my mere 10 minutes this game really felt like a late playstation 1 title. I still enjoy many ps2 shooters but perhaps cd based games are no longer compatible with me.
