  1. PSM Magazine
It's an addictive, unique, and fun game that definitely delivers the best surfing on a console. [June 2002, p.35]
  2. Multiplatform gamers should be playing it on the Xbox.
  3. 70
The best surfing game on the market.
  4. Neither TransWorld Surf nor "Sunny Garcia" tap the videogame potential of surfing as far as the "Dave Mirra"/"Mat Hoffman"/"Tony Hawk" franchises pushed the interactive representations of their respective sports.
  5. Official U.S. Playstation Magazine
More laid-back surf tunes would've been nice. [June 2002, p.100]
  6. 60
A near-complete package. There's a good variety of moves, challenges, and features to keep the average extreme sports fan coming back.

This review contains spoilers, click full review link to view. TransWorld Surf PS2 version is a smooth surfing game that I admire because there are very few good surfing games. Graphics are inferior to the xbox version but the animation or collisions is better and a bit more realistic on ps2. Playing is a bit tricky since the game doesn't tell all the tricks in which is a flaw for me. The multiplayer is awesome you can play as a shark, very memorable; then the main campaign is good because it will give you a challenge despite few pointless objectives that don't seem to make sense like jumping on a boat. But overall this game is great go buy it on any version is a gem for sure. Full Review »
