Whether you just want something to play Texas Hold ‘em on your PS2 for, or something with the depth and customization of a sports sim, All In is your best bet.
  2. The tutorials are helpful, the character creation elements are amusing, and the display and presentation of the game outperform every other poker game available.
  3. It does feature a nice variety of games, a solid career mode and online play, but struggles in the graphics, audio and artificial intelligence which take the title down.

Some of the new additions are kind of cool in theory, like the things you can do in your house, but on the whole the game doesn't feel like it's moved the series forward all that much.
  5. If you’re into poker, whether it be Texas style or 7-card stud, the many varieties of poker will help you get your fix. It won’t satisfy your craze to actually gamble real money, though.
  6. Some dumb moves by the AI and bad voice acting drag the game down a bit, but if you don't take it too seriously, you will enjoy it a lot more.
  7. Though it hasn't changed dramatically since last year, the few changes made to Crave's latest poker title don't do anything to bring the series up to the standard set by recent, better poker games.
  8. Like every other console poker game on the market, it simply can’t compete with the real experience of playing poker. All In has a lot of goods but an equal number of bads that keep it from being anything but an average poker simulation that fails to captivate and engage the player.
  9. Up to this point I've been recommending "Stacked" for the advanced poker player, and "World Poker Tour" for newbies. I don't see any reason to change that recommendation. [Nov. 2006, p.112]
  10. While World Championship Poker featuring Howard Lederer: All In for PS2 isn’t the worst poker game ever made, it’s in the running.
  11. I didn't necessarily expect it to make me a better poker player, but I did at least expect it not make the experience of playing actually more tedious, uninspiring, and unattractive.
  12. Save your twenty bucks for when you’re actually in Las Vegas. You’ll have more fun in the three minutes it takes to lose it than you will in all the time you spend with this piece of digital garbage.
  13. Cheap-looking graphics, pros represented by poorly-drawn caricatures, jerky animations, dark and murky game rooms... visually, this game's a mess. You've seen better maps in any 8-bit RPG.

The great selection of poker styles is ruined by limited play options, a horrible presentation and crappy player A.I. Save yourself some cash and just buy a deck of cards instead.
