"FIFA 2003" is fully licensed and pretty to look at, but WTS has it beat in every other category.
With solid visual, great modes, and heavy replay value, WTS2003 is a great sports title.
It listened to the criticism of its 2002 release and came out with a highly polished 2003 edition. The latest game has significantly cut the distance between itself and the top soccer titles on the shelf.
If they can continue this pattern we just might have the best soccer game next year.
Although there aren't any online features or a training mode to teach newcomers the characteristics of soccer, the variety of game modes is astounding, and the gameplay is enthralling.
The strength of this title still remains in the decision to simulate the promotion/relegation structure used throughout the major leagues of the world.
Better than last year's game with new modes and some new controls but it's a long way from being the definitive version of the sport.
