A surprisingly fun little way to pass the time for less than twenty bucks. [May 2003, p.36]
  2. 62
The game's biggest flaw is its lack of depth. Sure, there are different WWE-themed arenas with varying objectives such as "destroy 10 opponents" or "hold the belt for 30 seconds," but gameplay doesn't get any more complex or diverse than that.
  3. Play Magazine
    60
It's no "Twisted Metal: Black," but you can do worse for $20. [May 2003, p.63]
  4. 60
A decent execution of an ill-conceived idea. If you're not a fan of the WWE, steer clear of this game. Its gameplay isn't strong enough to stand on its own.
  5. Sure there is plenty of vehicular mayhem and destruction, but the action is not as addictive or as neatly polished as "Twisted Metal: Black."
  6. Matching the poor gameplay is the audio.
  7. 58
A mediocre effort, falling short of the mark set by "Twisted Metal" and its heartier clones.
  8. When it comes to graphics and sound, Crush Hour begins to fall apart at the seams.
  9. Game Informer
    53
A jabronie, but it could've been worse. [May 2003, p.83]
  10. Official U.S. Playstation Magazine
    50
Your typical "Twisted Metal" knock-off, complete with a ho-hum lineup of vehicles, bland weaponry, and uninspired courses. Gameplay's no better. [May 2003, p.97]
  11. THQ is selling "WWE Crush Hour" for a mere twenty bucks, which is an accurate reflection of the game’s all-around mediocrity in graphics, sound and playability.

Sure it's no Twisted Metal Black, but it is an enjoyable, innovative car combat title. The premise might be too silly for some, but I like the new modes of play, such as the Hardcore Matches, Royal Rumble, Lumberjack, etc. Nice sized roster of over 30 wrestlers/vehicles. Full Review »
