It really does grow on you, and once you get past the ridiculous premise you end up with a decent poor-man’s "Twisted Metal" that’s worth the budget price and not much more.
It's extremely simple, so don't expect to keep this one spinning into the summer months, but it does manage to fill a gamer's need to race around madly and blow things up.
A mediocre average effort, falling short of the mark set by Twisted Metal and its heartier clones.
What sucks balls is the fact that only two people can play at a time. That's bull.
As a vehicle combat title, Crush Hour is bad; and as a wrestling game, it's doubly bad. It doesn't matter that it's cheap - you're still throwing your money away if you end up buying it. [May 2003, p.86]
