Based on the best-selling children's adventure book by Chris Van Allsburg ("Polar Express," "Jumanji"), Zathura follows two young brothers who find a mysterious board game that takes them on a wild ride through outer space. Meteor showers, out-of-control rocket-propelled robots and nasty alien lizards are among the obstacles they must overcome to get back to Earth. [2K Games] Collapse

  1. Regardless of the fact that it is a kids game, Zathura really doesn’t do anything more than create bad frame rate issues and a straining time on anyone.
  2. Ultimately Zathura is a full priced game with the least amount of play value I've seen in recent memory. An average gamer would get through this adventure in a few short hours which means for goodness sakes, rent this one if you're itching to play the movie.
  3. 55
I don’t care how much you loved the film, do not buy this game. If your children absolutely loved the movie, then give Zathura a rental at most for them to get their thrills.
  4. Unfortunately Zathura plays like it was won in a car boot sale. Avoid.
  5. 34
The laughable A.I., boring level design, pedestrian graphics, and tattered story make this a game that should be avoided by young and old alike.
  6. Those in search of family-friendly thrills should pick up the last "Sly" game instead. [Mar 2006, p.85]
  7. An utter disgrace. It’s tedious, blatantly made on a zero budget with zero effort, and consequently is about as much fun as spending a day transcribing random pages from the phone book.
