  1. An excellent game, fully capable of recreating the intense and engaging atmosphere of the World Cup, as well as improving on its predecessor in many ways. If you love football, and look forward to the ultimate gaming experience in that sense, this is surely the game for you.
  2. The game nailed the atmosphere and the intensity of the World Cup in a way that sports games have tried but never succeeded in doing.
  3. The best FIFA yet, but a post width shy of vital for solo players. [June 2010, p.94]

The advent of things like Two Button controls for all of our mothers and fathers to play with is cool for the casual players, but the lack of customization for hardcore soccer fans is a real disappointment.
  5. A quality game, but one lacking in longevity and incentive for those already invested. It would be difficult to justify a purchase for existing FIFA 10 owners.
  6. A slightly cringe-worthy 'Two-Button Control' system will no doubt help to attract the uninitiated to 2010 FIFA World Cup, but this isn't just a game for 'prawn sandwich' footie fans (to quote the affable Roy Keane). It's a game that'll appeal just as much to hardened FIFA veterans who've just about squeezed everything they can out of FIFA 10 and need something to tide them over until FIFA 11.
  7. This game's weak. This is essentially the movie tie-in of sports titles; about as interesting and worthwhile as games fashioned after the Olympics or the X-Games. There is no reason why this shouldn't have been relegated to a premium add-on through the FIFA Store.

It is an awesome game has made as if you are in the world cup. The downside is that you can get through the tournament quite quickly. It is a really fun game to play. Expand

Awesome game, they have captured the new stadiums in South Africa superbly. Fluid controls, very polished. Just a really fun game.

this is the only football game i played and still play as this game did create the world cup atmosphere and had some very awesome celebrations and controls wasn't messed up. i'm not a huge fan of football or football games but this game has something special apart from other football games. i spend over a month playing with friends didn't enjoy the single player content much so an 8 is perfect from a non-football fan :D Expand

The game is fun, both in terms of presentation as well as the playful area. FIFA World Cup 2010 South Africa is a first-class sports simulation. Stadium feeling of pure. Expand

Say all you want. But for penalty shootouts, there hasn't been a key binded to save the ball with the goalkeeper. And you can actually score against the AI every time just like on FIFA 10. No skill involved. Expand
