It fails to match the original's arcade urgency, but if you have to have it, the new co-op maps and upgrade system make this the definitive remake. [Issue#231, p.93]
  2. The overall atmosphere is weaker. [Feb 2011, p.113]

    An extremely well-rounded twin-stick shooter. [Issue#201, p.99]

None of it's quite enough to stop the repetition getting you in the end. [Feb 2011, p.100]
  5. This top-down arcade shooter has a slow and steady pace that's a great match for it's moody, sci-fi horror vibe. [April 2011, p.85]

A terrific game. While not much has changed between this game and the first, that's not necessarily a bad thing. The storyline is more engrossing than ever, and players will always be compelled to push on… for humanities sake, and for the one individual with whom you start to develop a relationship with.

This is not a spectacular game by any means but it is still worth playing if you have some extra time and money. The game does a good job at creating intense moments of action and suspense but beyond that it is simply an average shooter. Full Review »
