  1. Repetitiveness aside, the plot and the action both heat up enough to make it worth pushing through another round of bug stomping--at least one last time. [May 2011, p.87]

So if you are looking for a quick alien fix that isn't overly expensive and is a gaming classic then this trilogy is best suited for you. The game would of warranted a higher score if it had not been for the camera issue and slight lack of re-playable time, overall decent game.

For a budget game it's hard to quibble at what's a sturdy if unimaginative old school shooter, but its stubborn faith in the original template only goes to show how far we've come.

  2. To flip an old cliché on its head: fans of the series should stay far, far away from the finale of the Alien Breed trilogy, which has been on a downward slide since part one. Once again you're in space, shooting aliens from a top-down perspective, only this time there's glass that can be shattered and the whole game glows slightly orange. Gasp! The claustrophobic atmosphere of impact has been shelved in favour of throwing endless hoards of aliens and busywork at you. Decent, but no improvement on the (now cheaper) earlier games. Expand
