  • Summary: Alien Zombie Megadeath takes up the slimy baton, bringing the game to the PS3 in glorious HD, with a fabulous list of new features. At it's heart, a platform shoot-em-up. You are a lone spaceman, out in space, doing spaceman stuff. You have a gun. It shoots laser beams... Out there are the Alien Zombies. They don't like you. They smell. Add all this together and the result is carnage... or death, if you are not very good. Collapse

This isn't a game that will impress you with its presentation, graphical flair or audio (after all, the team that made it only consists of three people). But what will impress you is its addictive gameplay, and all of the ways the title convinces you to come back for more. And at $7.99, it's a total steal.

If you dared to buy Alien Zombie Megadeath, you won't be sorry. The developers certainly kept the promise of intense shooter action with loads of extras.

For a while, it's intensely good fun, but every man has his breaking point. At some stage, mania sets in, and fending off the determined alien hordes requires a desire to replay levels that only a gurning leatherface should tackle. You should know which side you're on by now.

A fun title that offers a unique and fun single-player experience, Alien Zombie Mega Death is a certainly worth your hard earned money. Don't let those space babies go it alone.

An enjoyable, lengthy twin-stick shooting affair. Restricting the player to platforms creates a unique dynamic in the genre and adds a fresh element of bullet hell.
  6. There are just enough endearingly old school boss fights and survival modes to keep you coming back to this. For a day or two, anyway. [Oct 2011, p.113]
