Great game play - more realistic than Madden. I love the AFPL and concept of an alternate League. Uniforms and Logos are great....but some of the Team Names could use changing. I love the Boston Minutemen, Philadelphia Americans, New York Knights, Washington Federals, St Louis Rhinos, Denver Cougars, Texas Rustlers, Dallas Gunslingers, Arizona Scorpions, Seattle Sailors, Atlanta Wasps,Great game play - more realistic than Madden. If you are a Alternate Football League lover (think USFL!) then you will be in heaven! Oh yeah - the players faces could have been better (scary zombies!). Expand

This game is garbage and an utter disappointment. 2k should have stayed in the closet with this utterly lame and boring title.

This is a stripped down port of 2K5 without the pro teams or a franchise. They may have fixed some gameplay areas but the graphics are NOT next gen. At full price this unpolished and rushed port is not worth it.

If this Title was made with the current NFL It would be the best of All time. EA & Madden knows this. Thats why they retain the NFL rights.

You guys that are rating this game very low are either brain dead to what real football should be like or just one track minded Madden Zombies. People need to STOP comparing this game to Madden. They are both football games but thats where the comparison should end. This is football realism. Lack of franchise/modes only thing holding back this otherwise great game.

Gameplay is awesome!!! [gameplay has nothing to do with a franchise mode] no franchise mode sux, but thats the only knock on it. finally a football game thats not controlled by the animations.

WOW. This is a great alternative to Madden. Truly, give this one a shot. The legends add a new dimension to strategy (do I go for legends on offense, defense, or both?), and the gameplay is classic 2K goodness. The graphics are just OK - unless you're talking about the animations which blow pretty much every other sports game on the planet away. Support this game even if you're WOW. Comic-book football is not real football...sure gameplay is a strong point, but the gameplay isn't well implemented as there is no franchise/multi-season mode.

This is a solid game overall -- and without a doubt, All-Pro Football should continue building on this foundation. But if you were expecting 2K euphoria after two years on the sidelines, you'll be disappointed, as this one's got rust in many of the wrong places.
  2. I wanted to know more about the game’s league, but this title doesn’t deliver. With no franchise mode, Crib, or many amenities apart from nice stadiums, it’s the lack of connection with the league itself, not the fact that the NFL is missing, that is a letdown. Bolster this aspect and make some gameplay tweaks, and All-Pro Football will threaten Madden’s NFL more than the XFL ever did.
  3. 2K football returns with solid gameplay and a new focus on classic players, though the roster isn't the only aspect of the game that feels old.
