Angry Birds: Star Wars is the most explosive entry in the series thus far.

Angry Birds Star Wars isn’t the greatest of games, it is a tried and tested formula that offers little new and is cashing in on both its own success and the success of one of the biggest movie franchises in the world. It does however do what it does as well as it does. If you enjoy the franchise as a whole, then you’ll get plenty of mileage out of this version, but it is one for fans of the series only.
  3. Lacking challenge and there's not enough new content to justify that full-priced purchase. [December 2013, p81]

The game's midi-chlorian counts may not be through the roof, but not every bird needs to be a Jedi Master to have value in this galaxy.

If you simply can't resist the urge to use the Force against piggy Storm Troopers, then put that wallet away and buy the mobile version.

Angry Birds Star Wars is still an excellent game on PS3, with some new levels and a coop mode in addition... but this console version is still thirty times more expensive than the original! That's a shame.

Unless you happen to be a complete lunatic who's willing to pay this sort of money for what was originally, and still ultimately is, an extremely simple game on virtually any mobile OS, this release is just staggering in its lack of necessity. The original game, which is almost all this totally is, is about $1.99. A dollar-ninety-nine. I have no clue what audience would buy this, but no one should. An unbelievably unnecessary release. Name me just one reason to get this $1 phone game for $50. Ok, I have to admit, console games cost generally more, ok but let it be $5-10. There is of course another aspect that game is played naturally on the tablet, but not so comfortable with the joystick. Leave this nonsense behind. Full Review »
