  • Summary: Bakugan is based on the story of Dan and his friends whose lives were forever changed when mysterious cards fell from the sky. Creating a game from the cards where powerful creatures known as Bakugan battle, it wasn’t long before they discovered that their hobby was much more than just a simple pastime. Utilizing special game cards Bakugan battle masters roll spheres onto the cards, which activate and transform into Bakugan “battle brawling” action figures. [Activision] Expand

  1. Beyblades, Digimon and Yu-Gi-Oh have gathered and brought Bakugan to you. The game is easy to play, has great potential and is definitely worth a look. Basics in terms of tactics and dexterity are recommended.
  2. If you are a fan of those real-world card games that are so popular now, than you might want to give Bakugan: Battle Brawlers a chance.
  3. 69
This game isn’t really special. The story, gameplay, graphics and audio are very basic. The game is fun to play, but there are a lot of better games. If you like the television series, you will also like this game, if you don’t, then this game is a little bit boring.
  4. 62
Bakugan: Battle Brawlers seems to do things mostly right on paper, though the actual gameplay offers too much build-up to each fight and not enough in the actual battle department.
  5. A decent tie-in, various enough to entertain Bakugan's little fans.
  6. 60
As expected, Bakugan is a game for the fans. Collecting Bakugan, the cards and learning how to use them correctly, is what it’s all about. Those who do not know what bakugan is, will enjoy it all the same, although the repetitive fighting system and a lack of true action will quickly lead to boredom.
  7. Bakugan Battle Brawlers is obviously aimed at fans of the anime series who will enjoy their favourite characters and locations. To a more casual player however it looks like a mish-mash of rules and concepts, frustrating and slow paced: just too empty to be enjoyed by players not interested in the source franchise.
