    Bakugan: Defenders of the Core is a nice videogame for Bakugan fans. For all the others, there're just not enough amazing gameplay elements and variety in the game in order to keep you playing.

    Bakugan: Defenders of the Core features some decent fights but the overall experience makes it a real bore to play. The graphics are plain, the sound isn't properly mixed and the story is being laid out in front of you in a very confusing way. This makes this game a fans/children only. It can still be pretty entertaining to play versus a friend though.

    Really disappointing that Activision continues to dish out such a shallow and crude game.

    Disappointing. But, I know a twelve-year-old fan of the series who absolutely loved it - for a couple of hours, at least, until they hit a big difficulty spike and went back to watching Naruto and Deltora Quest on the Cartoon Network. And that's probably how it will end for all of us.

    The atmosphere of the anime makes up for the basic gameplay and forgettable plot, making this game enjoyable at least by the fans.

    Overall, there is almost zero fun to be had in Bakugan: Defenders of the Core. The gameplay is fun at times, but as a whole is boring.
