Fans of the series should enjoy the story, variety of playable characters and fast-paced combat.

Omniverse is basic gaming in every sense, which isn't to say that younger Ben 10 fans won't enjoy the colourful characters, easy progression and co-operative play. Older gamers will tire of it quickly.

A good game to play with your kid – it’s designed for co-op and visuals are doing great job of referring to the Cartoon Network show. [CD-Action 03/2013, p.61]

This is an exercise in tedium, a substandard brawler that exudes laziness at almost every turn.

Uninspired, dull, and poised by poor level design and controls, Ben 10 wouldn't suit the needs of any gamer, young or otherwise.

Ben 10 Omniverse is a cell shaded, dumbed down god of war style action adventure game.
There’s a bit of time traveling here, but only with ben. You play as both teen ben and young ben, for the most part each can turn into all alien forms, with only a handful of exclusives that the others can’t.
There are 13 alien forms total all with their own feel to them and special abilities that can be used to help with level progression.
The levels in omniverse are pretty dull and boring though.
Honestly, no 2 levels look any different or play any different.
Every level is a linear grind of defeating wave of enemy after wave of enemy, and the variety of aliens isn’t enough to make playthroughs feel any different.
You basically switch through the aliens until you find the one you like, upgrade it and stick with it throughout the game.
Omniverse was made with little no care, the developers were out to make a game with as little effort as humanly possible, published by D3, I honestly didn’t expect more from the beginning, all they do is publish lazy games.
This game is a God of War rip off down to the boss fights.
All boss battles are open, not forcing a 3 stage pattern which is great, and end in an epic God of War style quick time event.
Even enemies drop orbs and there are canisters that act as chests that are filled with orbs, and shakes and gems to upgrade health and energy.
You’ll find yourself climbing walls and doing super easy puzzles, all which are nearly identical across all 10 levels.
Luckily the levels are paced perfectly for such a repetitive style, making the game at least a little bit fun.
Levels are massively short, not many lasting for more than 20 minutes.
It took me about 3 and a half hours to beat the game in its entirety, and that includes trophy hunting.
Where the game is different from god of war though is that it includes local co-op.
You have an ai controlled buddy with you that helps you lessen the grind by taking out enemies with you, who can also be substituted by any friend or sibling that wants to sit through this journey with you.
If you’re a trophy hunter and have 3 hours to burn, snatch this grind fest up, If not – stay away.

I wouldn't opt for it. One should go for street fighter 4 instead.
