  1. Go back 5 years and you'll realize why the Call of Duty franchise is so incredibly popular. The first Call of Dity game became an instant classic with its epic story telling and intense gameplay. Now it's back, with polished HD graphics and the same amazing multiplayer. A must-have in your collection if you, for some reason, missed the mother of all CoD games.

As well designed and engaging as ever. [Issue#188, p.86]

Some inventive Trophies, clean looks and an emotional campaign make this a great purchase at 12 quid. [Feb 2010, p.92]

We reckon it holds its own. It doesn’t even look that bad after a quick 720p makeover. Why would anybody buy Rogue Warrior when you can get something like this for a quarter of the cost? [Feb 2010, p.77]

Call of Duty is still an enjoyable game, but it doesn't really shine in this downloadable version.

Truth is, $15 is a good price for a fun game, but I'm still not sure why you would choose to spend it here.

Call of Duty Classic is what you expect from a HD remake, same game as the original with a better resolution. But other than that I'd say it'sCall of Duty Classic is what you expect from a HD remake, same game as the original with a better resolution. But other than that I'd say it's worth buying and here is why. The campaign is challenging and fun. It's also very long with up to 24 missions. The multiplayer is fun as well. While is doesn't do anything different from other WWII shooters, it's still very enjoyable. The game is also smooth running at a consistent 60 FPS. The you haven't if tried the original game then you should give this remake a try, it's worth it. Full Review »

This is the Call Of Duty experience in High Definition. You also experience the cinematic intensity through 24 epic missions.

I have played manyFirst of all, I must say this is the only Call of Duty I have ever played, so I cannot compare with the others. I have played many first-person shooters from many different generations, though.

This said, I am not judging the game by its graphics nor its technical power, but by the aspects which were workable on when it was first released, such as the storyline or, most importantly, degree of enjoyment.

Overall, I did not enjoy the game. I actually had to make an effort to finish it. I guess all the Call of Duty games are this difficult, but this difficult is just insanely hard even on Regular. And it is not that it is just hard, but that I think it is badly calculated.

I just did not enjoy it. Guess dying just because of one or two shots is very realistic, but that mechanics does not work properly on a game, in my opinion; I hate realistic games and simulators, with the exception of FIFA (for I love football). I will keep on playing a lot of first-person shooters, but definitely not Call of Duty.
