    First of all, I'd like to say that the cel shading really holds up well and the game is beautiful. I didn't play the game long enough to see if they had cut any character dialogue or not, but it didn't seem like they had. Hard to say though, you didn't hear them talk as much because there aren't as many deaths with the way the new games is, which leads me into all the things that I have a problem with in the HD remake (that I would like to point out did not advertise any changes to the gameplay anywhere)

    This new group decided to add a health meter to the game. It take way too long to kill people, I mean we're talking >1 weapon pickup per kill in some cases. The special weapons are **** useless, harpooning is useless, environmental hazards (for the most part) do nothing. They added multipliers for doing "tricks" and hitting people, very easily exploited with certain weapons.

    Oh, and all the crazy deaths are gone for the most part. No more incinerating people with Flemming or chewing people up with Cinder's woodchipper. Hell, a nuke isn't even enough to kill someone.

    They did add new weapons, which is cool...i guess. That is, they would be if they weren't just copies of already existing ones (Javelin=short range harpoon gun, electricity ray=freeze ray [same animation], tnt sheep=grenade, scimitar=axe/chainsaw [neither of which cut through people anymore]).

    If it really was just a graphical overhaul it would be a much better game. As it is now, the pacing is way too slow and the way they calculate smacks just doesn't seem right. Melee weapons are way **** overpowered (i.e. Old school boxing gloves were really only useful for environmental hazards. Now? Incredibly powerful due to the way the game (apparently) calculates smacks.

    It was so different from the original, and never marketed as being different, that I went and got a refund.
