Horror is generally not my kind of game but I have to say this one was pretty well done. I liked the various 'powers' the Jericho unit had, also that the unit talks to each other as you play, gave a sense of being less then 2 dimensional. The Action is fast and furious. I definitely think it is better then the reviews it is getting.

This game was better than the reviews would lead you to believe. If you believe the reviews you would think that your squad was impossible to control and you spend all of your time running around and reviving them. I just completed this game and had none of these issues. Each character has their own type of play-style and this kept the gameplay refreshing. Voice acting was well done and the story was decent. Solid game play with stunnig graphics and an intriguing story keep this game outa the dumpster for me. All the rest of the issue are here but the pro totally out weight the cons.

Actually, I hate FPS. It may be the first FPS I have finished in all my life. Why? Because beside all gameplay or glitch or weirdo ending problems, this game still smell artistic in my mind, Clive barker universe is everywhere. And the sound, oh my god, rarely heard better sound and music since Silent Hill 2.

The editor in chief at Pelit should chastise his reviewer for using a noobish line like "might be the most boring and linear shooter ever." Sounds more like a petulant internet kid. He may as well have added, "other games are a bajillion times better, dood!" And having played Jericho, it's definitely not a 60.

It Is Really fun game, and i think it has a better story line than Halo 3. But the game would of been better if you could fight with or friends or just kill them. but if you like first person shooter games or like boold and gore than you should get this game. It is fun and awsome.

It's not as bad as what Critics said. Set the difficulty to EASY and apply the 3 cheat codes (1st free cheat code can be obtained simply by registering), and you won't find yourself dying so easily. And then you get to truly appreciate the original idea of posessing the bodies and abilities of your NPCs. Let the fun begins.

Some people are saying that the game isn't innovative enough.... it's a FPS for #$#$ sake! It's nothing spectacular but still a good solid shooter. People are too quick to nitpick - we can't have a perfect game all the time.

Better than I thought. When I looked at the scores it was getting, I thought it would be a crap game. I rented it and loved it. It's bloody, intense, and very fast paced. The graphics are great and voice acting is pretty good too. If you don't mind some cheesy lines, the script and story is pretty entertaining. The bad guys are disturbing and fierce. Probably the best thing about the game is the supernatural powers that each teammate has. They are varied and creative, but some are more useful than others. Some characters are more useful than others, and you'll most likely be using your 2-3 favorites throughout the game. (Some have cheap weapons and powers, like Church and Delgado that make the game a little easier). Overall, this game is the ultimate rental, but I wouldn't suggest buying it because it's pretty short.… Expand

Don't bother buying this I waited ages for it to be released wish I hadn't bothered. I hate slating games but this one drives me mad.

this game isn't as bad as the reviewers say it is. since its not super hyped and a futuristic shooter (like Halo) they are biased. note that the user rating is 14 points higher. 1up.com gave this game a 3!!! and the reasons were bad voice acting, enemy variety....Halo 3 has 4 different enemies.....LOL this is a great game, pick it up

I originally thought that this game would just be another run of the mill DOOM clone. To my surprise there was some plot, unique level and enemy design. The one thing that caught my attention was the character design. While most of the characters were more or less the same it was good to see clive barker introduce a character with mild Autism. Being autistic myself it is nice to see this kind of awareness in big video game/film and tv. I've been into alot of FPS's before but this one definatly had some of the more shocking enemies i had seen in games at the time i bought it. Clive Barker still has that shock factor that i love to see from his work. The way you have to swap between characters is very innovative and adds a new level of thinking to the game play. The storyline is very good and well written as well. While the game has its merits it does have its downfalls. First the amount of damage you take before you die seems to be very low even on a simple difficulty. Another gripe is that every enemy regardless of how much ammo you pump into them doesnt even slow down or stagger but this does add to the urgency of a quick kill. Lastly the ending seemed a little lackluster. Even a tortoise lighting a fart could have had more excitiment to it. Still a decent game but could be improved in a few areas… Expand

This game is a masterpiece against general belief. Its twisted vision of environments of the past provides a perfect backdrop to the intense gameplay that surrounds the battlefield each minute, both hardcore but forgiving with a balanced sense of squad gameplay. Many say its linear, but not any more linear than a daily dose of any other mainstream commercial game. The final touches provide a creative and self-preserved plot that pushes you foward, and a provoking sense of sound design and graphical achievements with dark artistic values. Though not for everyone's taste, Clive Barker, Codemasters, and Mercury Steam have indeed provided a worthwhile vision of a truly horrific fantasy that provides a whole new level of gaming.… Expand
