  1. Action-RPG fans will certainly have fun with this release, although it's similar to the original, and if you're into thongs and "role-playing" then this game is a win-win.

The game world is larger this time around, and there is ultimately mode to see and do in this game than the original Deathspank.

DeathSpank: Thongs of Virtue is no doubt more of the same stuff but it's a more of the same we like because it's damn fun. To make things crystal clear, if you enjoyed the previous installment you will also love DeathSpank: Thongs of Virtue regardless of dejavu feelings, but if you didn't go crazy about the franchise before, you will not change your mind. The overall quality is just the same, excellent as much as cheap: a solid, lengthy 6-8 hours adventure, tad harder than before but even more fun.
  4. Thongs of Virtue is the second half of Deathspank. Billing this as a sequel is a bit disingenuous, but thankfully Deathspank's structure was quite good to begin with, and the humorous presentation remains delightfully distinctive.

A perfect product for all the fans of the firts chapter: questing is sometimes too easy, cooperative is lacking depth and some polish is missing, yet it's still a ton of fun.

There's a bit more quest variety, but that's really about it in terms of changes. So, if you're itching to get your hands on more DeathSpank, Thongs of Virtue is more of the same, in the best way possible. It's just as well written and silly as its predecessor with just as much charm.
  7. Having had my DeathSpank: Thongs of Virtue experience so painfully truncated by the aforementioned bug, it's hard to comment fully on the game. It is possible however, to say that going by the entertaining action/RPG elements and the unparalleled humor of the game to that point, that Ron Gilbert's still "got it". Still, a bug that prevents players from finishing the game (and that as yet has no known fix) just can't be overlooked.

i loved the first one and the second one is great. but with more of the same i did run into it feeling overly repetitive and haven't finished it yet. i will one day be in the mood for a good dose of deathspank and finish it but maybe it was too soon for more of this. love it still though no complaints on gameplay or graphics, which i love, or sound. story is hilarious as ever and the new weapons and upgrades so feel different but in the end it was just more of the same so did get a bit boring. still one of the absolute best DLgames out there. if it all came as one package i wouldn't have thought twice about paying full price for a disk version so in my opinion it's a bargain too for what you get. unlik most DLgames it take more than a couple hours to complete!
