  1. I've had more fun with Strikeforce on the PS3 than I've ever had with the Dynasty Warriors franchise. To me, the series was stale until now, and while not without its problems, Strikeforce moves Dynasty Warriors back into the realm of relevance.

Strikeforce isn’t going to change the world by any means, but it does make the Dynasty Warriors franchise relevant for the first time in years – an amazing feat in itself.
  3. It extends the series in intelligent and welcome ways.
  4. Strikeforce is a step in the right direction for the franchise. It’s the much needed change that the series was crying out for. It’s just shame the console version is a port of the PSP game.
  5. The best of the Dynasty Warriors franchise struggles to compete with modern hack-and-slash games.
  6. Dynasty Warriors : Strikeforce isn't for everyone - for those who want to play a Phantasy Star Online / Monster Hunter style game with your favorite Romance of the Three Kingdoms characters, you've got yourself a fun game with some strong online legs, assuming you can find like-minded people.
  7. The series’ debut of online multiplayer adds replay value to Strikeforce, which is hard to ignore. However, if you’re interested in hack and slash action, there are more polished, next generation games available at fairer prices.
  8. Strikeforce is only recommended for fans of the one vs. all beat 'em up genre.

    A solid enough offering. [May 2010, p.85]
  10. Strikeforce is a great step toward finally integrating the online universe with Dynasty Warriors and an unexpected excuse to lower your head as other gamers pass you by. You’re not hiding or hanging your head in shame, you’re just looking for items.

A new part in the franchise, but there is nothing new. The gameplay is still the same and kind of boring. The most of the time you’re fighting against the same soldiers and the only part of the game that isn’t shallow are the upgrade options for the weapons. The graphics are a bit poor which also counts for the audio.

It's way behind other PS3 games of its type. [Apr 2010, p.85]
  13. Fighting, struggling, battling – it‘s nothing less than the Dynasty Warriors franchise you already know. No splitscreen, but online-multiplayer instead, you‘ve got your own upgradeable village with shops, but there‘s not more innovation than before.

An average PSP port... Avoid. [Apr 2010, p.97]
  15. You can instantly tell that Strikeforce originally was a portable game for PSP. The graphics feels dated, the controls are wonky and everything just has a cheap overall feeling. Still, the multiplayer is quite OK and the battles are just huge.
  16. With its Genji-like graphics and floaty controls, Dynasty Warriors doesn't impress. The haphazard controls and tedious gaming moments feel as old as the story itself.
  17. Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce is the biggest novelty in the series in ten years, nothing that should be glorified, but for the fans is certainly an interesting case to investigate because even has an online mode in which they can fight alongside those who share the same tastes.

Et c'est tellement affreux (quoi ? je l'ai déjà dit ?) que j'ai cru avoir mis le disque dans la pet-esse deux. La musique est affreuse aussi, si, si. Bref, une abominable japoniaiserie de plus.
