  1. Although the main quest is a little short and the rewards leave much to be desired one of the better Fallout 3-add-ons.

Point Lookout is one of the better Fallout 3 expansions and feels well worth the $10 price tag. There's a brand new area with over a half dozen trippy and exciting missions to find and work through. Plus, there are inbred hillbillies. If you're still looking for more Fallout 3, definitely give Point Lookout a try.

    Entertaining missions. [Issue#187, p.87]
  4. If you have the patience and memory to save often, Fallout 3 DLC doesn’t get any better than this.

This review contains spoilers, click full review link to view. Another major expansion for Fallout 3, Point Lookout takes us to the shores of Maryland, in what was once the area of Point Lookout State Park. The drab, occluded, and putrid setting has great charm. It is a strange atmosphere. Strange but beautiful. The main quest is absolutely out of mind, as well as characters like Desmond and Calvert. One of my favorite parts was "Walking with Spirits", where you have psychedelic hallucinations, and "someone" takes away a piece of your brain. This is freaked out, completely.

The map is big enough to explore and there are many things worth seeing. The new weapons are good, and even new enemies are interesting including, of course, the bizarre and disturbing Swampfolk. A great expansion.
