  • Summary: Powered by the revolutionary FIFA Soccer gameplay engine, and introducing Street Ball Control, FIFA Street will deliver an arsenal of groundbreaking street dribbling styles and trick moves that ignite the one-on-one battles within matches. Whether performing one panna after another without breaking a sweat the way street soccer is played in Amsterdam, or a physical, fight-for-possession style the way players compete in London, fans will enjoy a superior fidelity of ball control and responsiveness than anything ever experienced in a soccer videogame. Plus, for the first time ever, utilize aerial skills to maneuver past opponents, an all-new sophisticated one-touch passing system for quick, precision passes, and over 50 never-before-experienced skill moves. FIFA Street runs on to the court after four years with a shiny new look and enough moves to make your head spin.

It may be a bit too accessible – even an unskilled player can perform the most awesome moves by randomly twiddling the right analog stick – but in the end this is one hell of a football game.

This is still unpretentious fun, but now it's also a surprisingly deep and characterful little sports game, and a welcome stopgap between FIFA 12 and 13.

This year's iteration of FIFA Street takes the series in a new direction, and i like it. A lot of the arcade-style gameplay is gone and have been replaced with something that feels more authentic without losing the playfulness and fun that the series is known for.
  5. Timing and tricks are everything in this game. You have to draw your opponent out, then kick the ball right between his legs. FIFA Street is a vicious cat-and-mouse game with a football. [April 2012, p.78]

This series hasn't diverged wildly from its roots, but at least it's finally fashioned itself into the creative, trick-filled game it was always supposed to be, but never really achieved.

FIFA Street is the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde of gaming. Equal parts glorious and monstrous, it will leave you ultimately disappointed, if not completely filled with rage. Maybe Icarus is a better metaphor. It flies so close to greatness but invariably crashes and burns. Either way, play FIFA Street at your own risk.

I like the "tie in" with FIFA 12; controls, imported virtual pro, animations, and game engine. Much better than the old street with the awful cartoon characters. Not very deep, but just right for pick up and play. It would make a great Vita game. Has some faults but otherwise a fun game and a definite step in the right direction. A solid 8 sport title, and an easy recommendation for a soccer fan. Expand

If you're the type of person who loves performing skill moves or is looking for a decent, more realistic small-sided football game, FIFA Street is for you. However, be warned the friendly A.I. is terrible, there are a couple of weird bugs (not necessarily game-breaking), and there is nothing in terms of developer support. It is as though they released the game with intentions of building an in-game community (probably similar to that of regular FIFA) then completely forgot about it. Overall worth the buy if you are into smaller 3v3 or 5v5 matches. Expand

Awful defending, stupid AI and a bad tour mode make this pretty fun game a painfully average one which I regret buying. Don't bother with this FIFA cash-in made by the money-hungry EA. It's a game that I'll definitely trade in soon, and a game which I really can't recommend. However, I'd imagine it would be fun with friends, so if you're going to be playing with friends a lot, then you may want to give this game a try. Expand
