Excruciatingly difficult at times. The gameplay itself is very fast paced and action packed. I got it for free with Playstation Plus, but if you're up for a very hardcore challenge then this game is worth the €15 it normally costs. I enjoyed it while I played it, while it is most certainly not for the faint of heart. The sidescrolling system is fun and innovative, as you can swap between which sister you want. The game alternates between 2 worlds with the same overlay. When you swap worlds, you can reach places or cross obstacles that you can't in the other world. It takes a lot of getting used to, but it's very much worth it. Expand

Looks like a kiddie platformer, and it is a kiddie platformer, but with something pretty hardcore beneath the surface. That something is difficulty, which is increasing with every level and by the last few levels (out of 23) it becomes really brutal (I was beating the final boss for 4 hours). I love challenging games, so it's a plus for me, but be prepared that his game is not as innocent as it looks. Other than that, a nice fairytale world with an interesting mechanic of switching between worlds/sisters in the real time with an interchanging music styles of the same tracks, which was a really nice touch. In the end however, it's nice, but still just a simple kiddie platformer where the main substance is collecting crystals. 7/10 Expand

  1. It's fun at first, but the difficulty quickly shifts from "enjoyably challenging" to "I hate and want to dismember you." [Sept 2013, p.88]
  2. A bold and innovative reboot of a classic, but definitely geared for the hardcore. [June 2013, p76]
