I suspect this will be one of the first titles to take a price drop, so if this time of the year is really punishing your wallet, you might want to wait, but for those who never got to play GoldenEye on the N64 or even last year on the Wii, you can now finally experience a bit of gaming history, freshly wrapped in a next-gen package that is so challenging, so fun, and so addicting, you might have trouble deciding what to play when all those holiday titles start stacking up.

  1. The Golden Touch - Goldeneye Reloaded. I've been waiting for an HD remake of the Wii version of Goldeneye for quite awhile and now that it has arrived. I can say I am not dissapointed. To start off the review the campaign is FUN. Something most games can't seem to achieve anymore. You can approach the game in 2 ways. Call of Duty run and gun or James Bond Stealth, sneak through vents and kill people will a silenced P99. The campaign is short and follows the story of the original Goldeneye movie. If you guys are looking for an N64 remake of Goldeneye. Look elsewhere, this isnt the real deal but its a good deal. The remake is the splitscreen multiplayer. Thats where the nostalgia is. Campaign is fun and has an engaging story. Now lets get to multiplayer. Call of Duty-esque but doesnt stop it from being an all out blast. Moonraker lasers, Golden Guns and all the classic weapons you've known and come to love. Hell you can even be Oddjob and throw his razorblade hat. Slappers? You know it. Goldeneye Reloaded has some of the most engaging and fun multiplayer on the market to date. So let me just wrap up this mini-review for you. - Buy this game. XienTEC Score - 90/100 (Fun, fast-paced and stealthy and great multiplayer) (XienTEC Reward) Full Review »
  2. This review contains spoilers, click full review link to view. Being a big fan of James Bond films, I was eager to play a James Bond game that was good; unfortunately the game does not do that. The story of the game is a non-copyrighted storyline of the original Goldeneye movie. What I mean by this is that the game developers have done little adjustments in areas, such as the villain's deaths are different, there is no WW2 style train etc. The biggest difference is that in one mission, while driving a tank, the whole of St Petersburg looks like the apocalypse has just began.
    Positives
I like the fact that the game allows you to play as villains from the films

    Negatives
Three/quarters of the game is using a mobile phone
    Graphics look poor in places
When I was playing the game, I decided to do it on normal mode to get a feel for how difficult the game is. After completing the game (in one sitting), I only got a trophy for doing the game on easy so I had a look to see if the game had glitched. For some reason, the game had decided that in parts you will play on easy and in some you will play on normal
There are a lot of glitches in the game, such as some guards can shoot you even though you are in an elevator, the main boss can dolphin dive through metal boxes etc
    The rating
    I have given Goldeneye 007: Reloaded a 4 out of 10

  3. I made an account to keep people from buying this game. Where should I begin with the faults? Well, it's a typical Activision game: outdated graphics, short story and characters with no depth whatsoever. If you are a fan of the original Goldeneye on N64, do not buy this game because it will ruin the experience of the original forever. All the characters in this game have been modified which is weird because the game is supposed to be based on the movie. Another typical CoD clone for the mindless masses. A shame, because the name James Bond used to be a synonym for great game. I don't even know if I can complete this game because it's so boring. Full Review »
