As ever, the depth of the game is truly breathtaking.

Gran Turismo 6 is a beautiful racing simulator that values the art and science of the race over the drama and theatrics that often make racing so appealing. While the game lacks in certain areas, namely in their complete lack of real collision dynamics, the overall racing experience is one of sublime enjoyment.

It remains a mammoth achievement because fans can tell, within seconds, just how much TLC has been put into this production. Into every GT production, in truth. That’s what separates this franchise from any other and if you know cars and racing, you’ve been saying this for years. And I’ve got your back.

Playing it after experiencing Forza Motorsport 5 makes it feel like, well, going back a console generation. The mechanics and features are as impressive as ever, but now that we’ve seen what cars can look like on the current generation of consoles, it’s hard going back. Still, it’s hard to fault the game for being released too late and it remains another thoughtful, expertly crafted racing experience. - See more at: http://www.hardcoregamer.com/2013/12/06/review-gran-turismo-6/64753/#sthash.bsOa86kF.dpuf

THE racing package for every PS3 owner. Although there are dips in overall quality, it still offers tons of content and is simply fun to drive. [Issue#238]

Polyphony's latest may be burdened by familiar shortcomings, but Gran Turismo 6 reaches its greatest heights yet as a driving simulator.

Gran Turismo 6 feels like a relic of the past and the gameplay hasn't evolved to today's standards. There really isn't anything real about the so called 'real driving simulator', just an old fashioned Japanese game that isn't all that fun to play.

I love the physics...I love the graphics...I love the sound of certain cars....I love this game. The body roll is incredible and the way the car reacts is so damn realistic. So many cars and tracks you don't know which one to choose. The new updates only make it better and better. This is the result of real passion for cars. 10/10 Expand

Faster menus, new tyre and suspension physics, more and more content... Forza was a disappointment with the lack of content and abusive dlc (first day dlc and you must to pay for drive a veyron, really?). So if you own a ps3 and you like racing games, this is for you. A lot of improvements since gt5, great job giving us this game at the end of ps3. Expand

As the car dips andFire up GT6 and the by the first corner you realise that this iteration has something special with the physics engine. As the car dips and moves under braking and steering through the first few corners you are left with an odd sensation even when playing with a controller that you can "feel" the car underneath you.

The in game graphics look superb when you consider this console has been around for some time now and that this will most likely be the last first party game made for this system, That's not to say it's perfect, the engine sounds on many of the immense vehicle roster will make any cringe as well as some arbitrary bugs and flaws rearing their heads (We'll come back to that later).

The menu system has been improved to something similar to what you may find on your mobile device, with easy to navigate windows and help text along the way, It's never been easier to purchase your favourite whip and hit the track on a GT game.

The first 2 race series, novice and "B" series are not overly difficult and 75% can be completed with the first car you buy (Fit RS 10') without modification this was a minor frustration however the Fit is a great little car that really showcases the games suspension and tyre physics.

Modification options are very similar to GT5, an array of vehicle tuning parts are available that improve both handling and power, again as with GT5 limited amounts of body customization are available for the "Premium" cars for new users this may be frustrating however to see if your car is of the premium mark when purchasing keep an eye out for the "Gallery View" function, if this is available for your selected ride you will have the full interior view and the car model will be superb. This cannot be said for many of the cars whom still suffer from the copy paste mentality they look abysmal however as the PD team has done work on many of these cars since GT5 the car models are improved overall.

In game car sounds as mentioned earlier range from the most awesome thing you may ever hear Honda HSV 010 race car, to sewing machine or vacuum cleaner noises modified WRX impreza?.
This is quite disapointing when you compare GT6 with it's main competitor Forza where the exhaust note is well alot more accurate, GT6 has superb engine noise, but terrible exhaust note for most cars, the rumor mill is saying that this will be fixed in a future update, however 1200 cars sounds to be perfected might be a huge download and will it really be fixed? only time will tell.

there are a few features that were in previous GT series that have been omitted from GT6, B-spec is not included, neither are Endurance races This takes a little away from the series however is not a complete deal breaker.

Overall I do rate highly the driving and in game physics and although it is only to easy to beat the AI on many of the races using a much weaker car GT6 does provide a superb driving experience Online can be an absolute Joy and a real test of your mettle if the career mode is proving to simple.

I've been playing this game non stop for almost a week now and I have mixed feelings about it. The tracks are beautiful and fun to drive on,I've been playing this game non stop for almost a week now and I have mixed feelings about it. The tracks are beautiful and fun to drive on, especially newer tracks like Bathurst and Silverstone. Even older tracks like Apricot Hill and Deep Forest are still fun, but less so. The newer tracks are definitely the highlight of GT6 so far. The selection of cars is as massive as ever, but while some of the cars look fantastic, there's still too many cars that look like they're left over from the PS2 days. The handling and driving physics are the best they've ever been; cars handle and control like their real world counterparts. People complain about starting with a crappy car and few credits and working your way up to better cars, but that's what GT has always been about, so people who don't like this should be playing arcade racing games, not sim racing games. The menu system is much easier and simpler to navigate than GT5, not GT5's menu system was that complex.

The problems that GT6 has are the same that have plagued it for 15 years now. The driver AI, while better than before, is still pretty dumb as cars drive in a straight line like robots. There's still limited car damage. There are far too many useless cars in the game. And some of the older tracks need a facelift. While the game is still loads of fun, it feels like the same old stuff over and over again. Polyphony needs to innovate more with GT, cuz games like Forza have caught up and even surpassed GT in some respects.

The seasonal eventsBiggest disappointment of the GT series and a blatant move to ripping the users off with in game purchases of game money. The seasonal events that were good sources of income to buy your dream car are now all time trials so one off rewards and not that good. GT6 top prizes £250K vs GT5 prizes of £1M. I find "free" apps annoying enough when you can't get anywhere without having to buy a pack of something, but when you have paid £50+ for a game you don't expect the developer to be pulling the same stunts, especially when there is nothing new or innovative in this version and it doesn't even run on a PS4 so the improved graphics don't really shine.

We were left hanging for the full release of GT with the prologue release keeping us hooked and the wait was worthwhile. I never left my racing seat for month when it came out. GT6 has barely been touched. I've kept my PS3 specifically for GT6 so I guess it will now be going on Ebay to pay for the PS4 games.
