One of the best free demos I've ever played. The only thing keeping it from a 10 is its "forced finish" bug, which Sony has addressed via a 1.1 rerelease, but has neglected to remove the false low times from the online Rankings charts. Even so, this is a very promising glimpse into GT's future. If Polyphony manages to improve the AI, add online play, and add performance-affecting vehicle damage, GT just might surpass Forza 2 (but somehow, I doubt it). Expand

GT HD Concept is the most impressive PS3 game I've seen thus far. I thought the opening scene was actual footage of a real car racing around a track, until I played the game. The graphics are incredible. Control is good, but a steering wheel (or use of the motion sensors in the Sixaxis controller) is sorely needed. I'm looking forward to the final game.

  1. GT is going in a good direction. If they can tighten the AI so the cars aren’t racing in the same line, clean up the catch up AI, add a damage model, and build on the weight physics than "GT5" will be a racing game to reckon with.

This is far too flimsy to to take up more than a few hours of your time. [Issue #150, p.78]
  3. Filing microseconds from your best time should keep you amused for the long wait until Gran Turismo 5. If you want to show anyone what the PlayStation 3 can deliver then this is without question your technical demonstration.
