  1. The sheer amount of content in The Lost and Damned is truly impressive considering its modest twenty dollar asking price.
  2. Now that the instruction manuals are short and avoidable, and the retail boxes are losing its importance, The Lost and Damned is the answer to the future of downloadable contents. Rockstar brings the fan new features for both campaign and multiplayer sides, and a single player experience with nearly 12 hours of duration that makes this exclusive expansion a highlight for GTA IV supporters.
  3. A dark and sordid revisit to Liberty City full of content and quality.
  4. The very relaxed atmosphere, well-written characters and the “Born to be wild” ambiance are the main strengths of this add-on.

How can you expand the universe of Grand Theft Auto IV? The Lost and Damned answers this question by adding a whole new story arc running in parallel with the main story. You follow the misadventures of Johnny Klebitz, a protagonist with a much less ambitious goal that the original main man Niko: to ensure the survival of The Lost, his motorcycle gang. And the bikes are central in the story, as most missions are required to be completed riding them. For that, motorcycle control was greatly improved, making it a lot harder to fall than it was before. A less-realistic approach, but vital for the game not to become frustrating. The connection between this expansion and the original is near-perfect; with new characters interacting and giving new depth to old ones. It is also great to see the attention to details Rockstar has put in this expansion, with the new menu styles and grain filter adding to the darker atmosphere of The Lost and Damned. While it lacks a little bit of the charisma of the original and introduces new extra activities that are pretty much modifications of old ones, The Lost and Damned is a great expansion that no Grand Theft Auto player should miss. This one is a bit boring. It's too repetitive and too serious. Although the story is quit interesting and you get the well known GTA IV experience but with another character. Full Review »
