  • Summary: Guitar Hero: Aerosmith is the first game built around the legendary music of "America's Greatest Rock ‘N Roll Band": Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Brad Whitford, Tom Hamilton and Joey Kramer. This latest Guitar Hero installment puts players in the shoes of Perry (guitar), Whitford (guitar) and Hamilton (bass), as they rock out alongside frontman Tyler and drummer Kramer. Gamers experience Aerosmith’s Grammy winning career, from their first gig to becoming rock royalty, in a way that no other entertainment vehicle offers. As fans progress through their careers in the game, they can rock out to scores of Aerosmith’s greatest hits, as well as songs from celebrated artists that the band has either performed with or has been inspired by in some way. Venues from historical moments during the band's illustrious career offer the experience of "sweet emotion" and further capture the essence of the band's rise to fame. [Activision] Expand

  1. But ultimately how much you personally enjoy Guitar Hero: Aerosmith depends on how much you like the band. If you love Aerosmith, Guitar Hero: Aerosmith is easily the best Guitar Hero yet.
  2. The only thing running against Guitar Hero: Aerosmith is the price. For about the same price as the game - $50US - consumers can download these tracks online to their PC for less.
  3. How much you enjoy Guitar Hero: Aerosmith will be adjusted on how much you enjoy Aerosmith music.
  4. If you wall is smothered with Aerosmith posters, you're going to want this game anyway. [Sept 2008, p.79]
  5. The lack of downloadable content is a shame, especially with certain Aerosmith tracks like "Amazing" and "Chip Away At the Stone" missing. The guitar-strumming gameplay is what you would expect from a Guitar Hero game, catchy and entertaining, although there's nothing new.
  6. Guitar Hero: Aerosmith does nothing for players, unless we're speaking of the biggest Aerosmith fans.
  7. Activision is publishing an Aerosmith-focused game with a mere 31 tour tracks, a significant fraction of which have nothing to do with Aerosmith, and they’re charging people full price for the privilege.

i am not really a big Aerosmith fan but even if i loved them they are not a good bad to have showcase a guitar hero game as most of thier songs are at about the same speed and are kinda hard to get into while playing which is not good. also as ppl have mentioned before some of thier big hits are missing from this game but they have a couple hits and it is not as bad as some ppl say. all in all this is a good rental but after a little bit it will get boring so unless you are a die hard aerofan stick with a rental Expand

Expand
