Jul 14, 201164It's cool to see how the character models and graphics have changed through the years, and makes the entire series feel less like a movie game cash-in, and more like a separate journey for Harry that went alongside the films and books. It was touching in an odd way and a nice farewell to the game franchise. After all is said and done though, I'm still glad to see it end. It's still a way to sell a video game with Daniel Radcliffe on the cover, and unfortunately no touching montage is going to change that.

Sep 1, 201161A decent enough wand-shooter that represents a wasted opportunity for both Move and the Harry Potter series. [Oct 2011, p.103]
-
Jul 27, 201160It is a shame that the game is not as good as the movie it is based on. This is a simple and repetitive shooter that offers little incentive for those players who don't follow the adventures of the young wizard.
-
Jul 24, 201160Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 is maybe okay for shooter fans, but I bet the main part of Potter fans would have liked a game full of riddles, sneaking and maybe a skill system. There is no variation, no freedom and not enough content to satisfy.
-
Jul 21, 201154Part II has new characters and new enchantments, but overall the game falls short of all expectations.
-
Aug 25, 201150Factor in the uncontrollable camera and this third-person shooter is firmly mediocre. [Oct 2011, p.85]
-
Jul 24, 201150In conclusion, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 is another movie game that is cursed.
-
Jul 13, 201146Not a good game. It's sad that the last game to ever bear the Harry Potter name (well, until the inevitable MMO) is such a disappointment.
-
Aug 14, 201140Year after year the Harry Potter games were getting more worse and this latest game is the best in being the worst Harry Potter game ever. The game is boring, way too short, repetitive and a lot more⦠in a negative way. The only good part about this game is that there will be no more Harry Potter games from EA. Avoid this one and wait for LEGO Harry Potter that is coming out later this year.
-
Aug 14, 201140A ham-fisted cover shooter with sloppy controls and dully weaponry (read: spells). [Sept 2011, p.116]
-
Aug 9, 201140Offers little variation and hardly requires strategic input, which leaves a mindless third-person shooter. The well-executed story and great looking characters make it a tad more interesting, but these elements can't hide the fact that the four-eyed magician often turns to his wands for simple and selfish needs.
-
Jul 27, 201140It improves a bit on last year's game, but that doesn't change the fact that this is an uninspired shooter that feels like the Harry Potter license has been forced upon it.
-
Jul 14, 201140The Harry Potter film tie-ins end on a low note with this short, tedious, and conceptually vapid cover shooter.
-
Aug 9, 201137A subpar cover shooter. [Issue#208, p.92]
-
Jul 15, 201135For fans of gaming, stay well clear. Even as far as movie-tie-ins go, this title is the biggest crime to the Harry Potter franchise since Emma Watson decided looking like a public schoolboy is sexy.
-
Sep 16, 201130Slow and unexciting firefights with never-ending waves of enemies, a general lack of variation and a horrible form of storytelling resides at the top of a long list of problems.
-
Aug 2, 201130A horrible action game with lousy control and graphics. A sad end to a series of games that EA has treated embarrasingly bad.
-
Jul 29, 201130Terrible AI, boring levels and no finesse whatsoever. Avoid this one.
-
Jul 18, 201130Quotation forthcoming.
-
Jul 18, 201130The Harry Potter videogame franchise goes out with a whimper, not a bang. Where the series could have ended on a satisfying note, this is a short, linear and ultimately unsatisfying ending that not even the most hardest core of Potterophiles will enjoy.

Jul 26, 201120What a sad ending for the Harry Potter videogame saga this part 2 is. Solely focused on action, in order to give meaning to the PS Move but failing in doing so, this PS3 title a simple port of the Wii version. Visually below average, too linear and too short, this adaptation of Harry's adventures will only have appeal in the eyes of the yonger and most Potter-addicted gamers.
