  • Summary: A massive explosion rips through six square blocks of Empire City, leveling everything and everyone in its path. At the center of the blast crater a lone man stands up miraculously unharmed... gifted with incredible powers. From the creators of the award-winning Sly Cooper series, Sucker Punch brings you inFAMOUS, the first open-world action/adventure title by SCEA for the PS3. Players experience what happens when a real person suddenly starts developing super powers. Exact revenge? Protect the innocent? Maybe a little of both? These are the situations you'll face as you play inside of a richly interactive and organic living city. A place where your actions create broader reactions in the citizens and landscape around you. inFAMOUS lets you unravel an evolving mystery, experience fame and/or infamy and battle powerful, iconic villains... all the while giving you the feeling of becoming a modern day superhero. With a strong storyline, a stunning and expansive world, inspired level and mission design and a hefty amount of time required to see it through to completion, inFAMOUS is an essential PS3 release.
  2. The audio in inFamous is incredible, especially when piped via HDMI to a capable 5.1 receiver.
  3. inFamous is a type of game that doesn’t come around often enough and is easily one of this year’s strongest titles.
  4. It is not "Fable" and it does not try to be, it just takes these elements and combines them with some others to create very fun videogame, with its own personality and a well-achieved and told story, perfectly integrated with its gameplay. A more than recommended buy.
  5. Despite its rough edges and somewhat lacking story, inFamous manages to grab the player and offer a compelling and action filled gameplay experience that surpasses most other super hero games out there.
  6. For everything Infamous does well there’s a counter-balance of agitating design decisions.

Infamous is an amazing game that had never really been witnessed before when it came out. It blends a wonderful combat system with cool characters and an unforgettable choice system. One of my all time favorite games, and one of my all time favorite series.
+Original at it's time, and it still does the concept of superhero better than any other game out there. Not even the Spiderman 2 game can touch this.
+Wonderful, delicious, and juicy 3rd person combat. While ducking into cover can be a pain, it never dims down in terms of action and overall insane intensity - it also flows pretty smooth.
+Writing, it's off-the-wall! While Trish is without a doubt the most dull of all the characters, you're exposed to the hilarious and somewhat charming Zeke, the crazy and lustful Sasha, the bias and hateful TV people/"The Voice of Survival", the old insane and broken Alden, and the star - the intimating agile hero and/or anti-hero: Cole.
+The moral choice mechanic: it is wonderful! While some games like Paper's Please do it more subtly, Infamous also has an unforgettable and, in my opinion, better moral choice system. You way out the pros and cons of the choices you make in your actions, and you get the choice between being selfish and benefiting yourself while hurting others, or taking a hard hit to protect and save the innocent civilians.
+You get the vibe you're in a hopeless environment - one that is barely standing and needs hero to carry it, or a villain to bring it all-the-way down. The people in the quarantined city say things like "I was only supposed to be here a day," or "help, I can't find my daughter!" It delivers a feeling of eeriness and despair.
-Some missions are so difficult it leaves you scratching your head saying, "what idiot came up with this level."
Must buy. If you don't have a PS3, buy one just to play this!

Didn't know what to expect stepping into this game. After about an hour of play I found myself seeking out the optional side missions to extend the game. Also...pretty cool that the player really struggles with the choice of whether to be "good" or "evil". A solid title that makes me long for part 2. Expand

Really solid game with alot to do in the sandbox environment. Playing as cole, with all of his powers is alot of fun. The game runs and looks beautiful. The gameplay is alot of fun and worth every penny. There could have been some variation in the side missions, it can become a bit tedious doing the same mission over and over again. Expand

A fantastic experience throughout with only a few minor problems. If you want a game to make you feel like a massive badass, this is it. Its one of my favourite superhero games of all time. Enough said. Expand
