With a strong storyline, a stunning and expansive world, inspired level and mission design and a hefty amount of time required to see it through to completion, inFAMOUS is an essential PS3 release.
  2. The audio in inFamous is incredible, especially when piped via HDMI to a capable 5.1 receiver.
  3. inFamous is a type of game that doesn’t come around often enough and is easily one of this year’s strongest titles.
  4. It is not "Fable" and it does not try to be, it just takes these elements and combines them with some others to create very fun videogame, with its own personality and a well-achieved and told story, perfectly integrated with its gameplay. A more than recommended buy.
  5. Despite its rough edges and somewhat lacking story, inFamous manages to grab the player and offer a compelling and action filled gameplay experience that surpasses most other super hero games out there.
  6. For everything Infamous does well there’s a counter-balance of agitating design decisions.

More like 9.5. Overall an awesome game. Some minor flaws such as enemies half stuck in the wall after being defeated. What was most surprising is the fact that you can't mindlessly jump in the middle of a group of enemies and expect to win which is often the case for these types of games. While the the choices for karma are obvious it is really tempting to use the evil side. Game is really enjoyable and from what I heard there are different cut scenes for both sides. So far I have not encountered any major slowdowns and/or glitches. Really a must buy if you are a fan of the genre and even if you're not definitely give it a try. Expand

This is a fantastic game. While it doesn't do anything new or innovative, what it does do is mold a very fun open world game, with super powers with some difficulty and the choice to be good or evil and actions within the game can change. The game isn't perfect, far from it, but this is a solid title and exclusive for Sony users. It has some cool additions and reminds me a little of spiderman 2. Games are meant for fun, and this game is so fun I haven't stopped playing it since I bought it. Very addicting. Expand

InFamous is one of my all time favorites. It is a great break from boring and repetitive FPSs. First, the gameplay: new, fresh, fun, and dang enjoyable. The karma system that can change your various electric type powers is neat and adds an incredible amount of depth with good/bad decisions. The story is one of the best I've ever had the pleasure to be a part of. From the protagonists, antagonists, and everywhere in between, the story makes you care about the characters and what happens to them. The plot has great twists and turns as you discover more about the world you, Cole McGrath, has been flung into. Sure there are a bit ends and odds that could be tidied up and a more innovative hand-to-hand combat system would be amazing, but this game bring the comic book genre into the new generation. A great game and a worthy buy. Expand

The game revolutionizes open-world platforming by letting you scale and climb any structure with seamless and rewarding controls. I've had more fun just running around InFamous from roof-to-roof than I've ever had driving around Liberty City in GTA4. Brilliant Sucker Punch! Expand

Absolute masterpiece.. Engaging and surprising plot. Excellent and interesting characters. Graphics a little bit smudgy at times but still excellent. Nothing else to say.. Expand

Infamous was a fairly good game, the only problem I had with it was the characters. Cole, the main character, has no personality other than a gruff voice and a rather uninteresting dialogue. Zeke, Cole's best friend, has no purpose in the game other than to be a fat, lazy moron, that as one of the villians describes him as the 'Fat kid on the roof'. The Fed Moya is rather annoying, and Trish, Cole's girlfriend, just needs to be slapped. The game play was great however, and the story line was excellent. I would reccomend renting it first, but all in all the game was pretty good. Expand
