  • Summary: At 9:45 in the morning, a thunderous explosion rocks Los Angeles. City blocks are flattened and smoke and ash fill the air. Detectives Phelps and Biggs race to the site of the former Nicholson Electroplating plant to find a pile of unanswered questions.

Over the course of the DLC, you'll shoot a couple of looters, decipher some puzzles, closely look over photographic evidence, and engage in a few chase scenes: add in a healthy amount of investigatory work and a large shootout, and you have a pretty diverse gameplay array.

L.A. Noire: Nicholson Electroplating Arson Case fails because it takes apart most of L.A. Noire's idiosyncrasy. Solid action scenes but little story or investigation.

Definitely not the best DLC for the game, but it is a unique one. As soon as the DLC opens up, there's an explosion from the start. Fearing it's the Russians, Cole and Herschel Biggs race to the mushroom cloud. When you arrive, the place is a mess. The explosion came from the Nicholson Electroplating building, also known as a place for making chemicals. And so the investigation begins, how did it happen? Why did it happen? Who did it? Unfortunately not that much investigation goes on in this DLC, it's much more linear and more action paced. If you're only like about LA Noire was the action and you disliked the investigation part, this will be the best damn DLC ever for you. At a length of about an hour or two, it's a good mission to get the most out of LA Noire. Expand
