Just picked this up for free as a part of Playstation Plus and I've been pleasantly surprised. It is a fun and challenging dungeon crawl in the vein of Zelda's from the past. There is practically no story, but the fun bite size gameplay makes up for that. The combat is simple, but fun and the puzzles can be difficult but nothing that will make you scratch your head for long. It's a fairly short game but even if you don't have Plus it's worth the price of admission. Games like this don't come around very often any more. Expand

This is a good game. Fun music, fun gameplay and nice level designs. The puzzles aren't hard but there can still be some challenge in finding every star in each level. This game will keep you busy for 3-5 hours, give or take an hour. There isn't any upgrades for your character (in the sense on an RPG), but you will come across armor for increasing your character's health. The combat is fun, simple and satisfying. If you're on the fence about getting the game.... I suggest getting it. Expand

This game is great! It's very funny and cute! Nice graphics. Challenging battles and puzzles. It reminded me of the first Zelda series. I believe anyone could enjoy it.

Labyrinth Legends is an enjoyable, albeit brief, dungeon crawler that's designed to appeal to a broad cross-section of gamers. If you don't mind the repetition, you'll find a short game that's filled with some good puzzles and humor. It could have used a better multiplayer section, but as a single-player experience, it fits the bill. If you're craving a good dungeon crawler that isn't burdened by stats and minutiae, give this title a shot.

Legends Labyrinth suffers of several problems. Despite that, this unusual hack'n slash-based puzzle will not fail to enthrall thanks to the extraordinary work of level design.
  3. It's unforgiving as all hell, too: After you've barely scraped through a particularly insane dungeon, you might run afoul of a boss. This boss will, without fail, instantly kick your ass until you memorise his wicked ways, just like the old days. Then it's back to the start of everything with you. [February 2013, p80]
