A step forward for the franchise, but this simulator still has to solve its tremendous technical flaws.
Having to manage your riders stamina and resources is an interesting twist on the racing genre, but you need much more than just a fleeting interest in cycling to enjoy this game.
Tour de France 2013 is clearly geared towards fans of the most famous race in the world. Several graphic glitches hamper the experience considerably.
Le Tour de France 2013 isn’t able to capture the intensity of the competition it tries to replicate. There was for sure some room to add a bit of diversity and to liven up more the lengthy stages.
Cyanide managed to improve the mess that was last year's entry by delivering better gameplay and improved pacing, but their franchise still needs some serious work in order to deliver the excitement that the real-life Tour de France has to offer.
Cheap, poorly designed and worst of all, crushingly boring, Tour de France 2013 is about as classy as some cut out and keep Bradley Wiggins mutton chops and half as fun.
It is just sad that when the sport is on the crest of a wave of popularity, Cyanide couldn’t have done something to make their simulation more appealing to the general populace.
