  1. The new control scheme is, for me, a change for the better. I for one wouldn't mind a similar system employed for SDvR10, although I'd imagine hardcore fans might not agree. At the end of the day, though, what's most important is that Legends does exactly what it set out to do, and that's provide a rose-tinted nostalgia trip down 80s and 90s wrestling.
  2. Overall, Legends of WrestleMania is the best romp through the WWE I've had the pleasure of playing in years.
  3. For fans of WWE games, those who grew up in the 80s and 90s watching WWE wrestling, or those who always wondered who would win between John Cena and Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant and Big Show, or how about the tag team of Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase Jr vs. Dusty Rhodes and Ted Dibiase; this game is a must-buy.
  4. WWE Legends of Wrestlemania is a game that caters to everyone of my nostalgic wishes. It may be missing a few key wrestlers, such as Owen Hart, Randy Savage, Diesel, and Razor Ramon, but they can be easily created within the game's Create A Legend mode.
  5. As with the Xbox 360 version, the PS3 version of Legends of WrestleMania is a really entertaining game. Sure, it may not be the deepest game out there but the over-the-top graphics, solid sound, and the simple gameplay all manage to recreate some great WrestleManias of past.
  6. This is a no-brainer for anyone who still has a yellow Hulkamania shirt tucked away in their closet.
  7. If you’re a fan of the WWE then you probably already bought this game and really don’t need this review to convince you. For the rest of you out there I can say that if you are or were a big fan of wrestling then you should check out Legends of WrestleMania.
  8. The gameplay although not perfect is quite playable that is matched with great graphics, a kickass soundtrack and good old fashioned wrestling moments.
  9. WWE Legends of Wrestling is the one game all old school "WWF" fans should pick up. No other wrestling title has come close to matching the same level of nostalgia that Legends conveys in its close attention to detail and Wrestlemania Tour mode.

More than just a cash-in on the franchise’s glittering legacy, Legends Of Wrestlemania is the most impressive wrestling videogame since the turn of the millennium.
  11. As the first WWE Legends-focused title, WWE Legends of WrestleMania does a good job of creating a memorable experience that you can share with friends or enjoy all by yourself.
  12. Legends of Wrestlemania does what exactly what you think it should. Despite some repetition and being short on gameplay content and depth, it’s a casual, enjoyable romp through the good ol’ days that put our childhood heroes (and villians) on a pedestal. Then is shines a spotlight, blasts fireworks, and points at them with a giant arrow.

With a ton of unlockables and dozens of classic wrestlers from the glory days of the World Wrestling Federation, Legends of WrestleMania is a fan's dream come true.
  14. Excessive quick time events, repeated moves and puzzling omissions (no Macho Man Randy Savage) had us griping, but overall, Legends of WrestleMania is a fun homage to wrestling's glory days.

THQ has put together a pretty great love letter here for old school wrestling fans, and laid down a pretty good foundation for a new series.
  16. Legends of Wrestlemania pays tribute to the classic WWE wrestlers and to the 80's & 90's generations. It's an easy-going gameplay experience for the new casual players interested in the classic legends. The huge and amazing videos and the Wrestlemania Tour mode are some of its best points. It is not the best wrestling game but is the only one offering a link between the past and the present of the WWE.
  17. WWE Legends of Wrestlemania is a game that will keep you occupied for a long time. The fighters are cool, the movies bring back good memories and there are many modes. On the graphics-side the game has his flaws, but it is still a lot of fun to play.
  18. THQ really did a great job with this game. It's great fun in multi-player when you have some friends over. It's also fun just playing the single player mode. The classic video highlights are both interesting and funny.
  19. Legends' pacing is really the only serious detriment to the game. The implementation of quick-time events feels more like an awkward attempt to differentiate the series from THQ’s Smackdown franchise, rather than a fresh new gameplay mechanic. Old-school grappling fans who are longing for a simpler wrestling game will likely get the most out of LoW, but those accustomed to the fast and furious pace found in SVR will have a harder time embracing the "streamlined" controls.

I liked all the trophies, legends and and game modes and all but the cheat codes and they only gave you 4 managers to choose from!

Ok this game wasn't great @ all, however the content of videos and old theme music were really cool and makes this game a worthy Ok this game wasn't great @ all, however the content of videos and old theme music were really cool and makes this game a worthy (DISCOUNTED) purchase 4 all throwback wrestling fans in their mid 2 late 20's like me and all those that are older & still play video games. The ability 2 import all of the wrestlers from SvR 2010 and even my created wrestlers was pretty sweet but I wish it also included the downloaded wrestlers that I paid an extra $10 for on PSN, now that would've been really cool. Unfortunately the fighting mechanic was entirely 2 simplistic but thank God it wasn't as awful as tna impacts controls (ugh). I honestly didn't play the game online due 2 the fact that SvR 2010's online lagging discouraged me & once I easily obtained every bit of content and every trophy I just didn't care 2 play it any further. The presentation of the Retro theme was awesome but the overall gameplay was a friggin mess, and hopefully if there's another LOW it'll be significantly better. Full Review »
