  • Summary: From the makers of LEGO The Lord of the Rings, comes LEGO The Hobbit, inspired by the first two films in The Hobbit Trilogy: The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug as well as the collection of LEGO The Hobbit constructions sets. The interactive game of LEGO The Hobbit allows gamers to play along with their favorite scenes from the films, and follows the Hobbit Bilbo Baggins as he is recruited by the Wizard Gandalf to aid Thorin Oakenshield and his Company of Dwarves. Bilbo leaves the comforts of the Shire on a journey through Middle-earth to help the Dwarves reclaim their lost Kingdom of Erebor within the Lonely Mountain. Along the way, he is introduced to ravenous Trolls, dangerous Orcs and, of course, Gollum and his precious Ring. Players utilize and combine the Dwarves’ unique abilities to solve a diverse array of Quests. Expand

Our advice? Don’t bother picking up Lego: The Hobbit now. It’s a great game, but it’s not a full game. Instead, pick it up later this year when The Hobbit: There and Back Again comes out. It will likely be available at a discount price then and together with its DLC that will probably be at or just under the price of a full game. That way you can enjoy Lego: The Hobbit the way it was meant to be played.

LEGO: The Hobbit has become the black sheep of the franchise and it's well deserved, mainly due to a poor technical section. It looks like the whole game was made in a rush in every aspect. Not even the humour is as remarkable as in other games of the franchise.

The combat system really improved, and LEGO The Hobbit is very varied when it comes to skills and missions, but it isn't engrossing at all, I'd even say it's forgettable. Expand

This game is with out a doubt one of the worst games i've ever played, for having repeditive gameplay, boring missions anf off-putting voice works. the only good things about this game is the world and the visuals, but that doesn't hold up a game. And the saddest thing is that I love the LEGO videogames, iv'e been a fan sence LEGO Star Wars The Video Game in 2005, and I never had anything bad to say about them. But this game alone, takes a huge crap of one of my most beloved franchises. Expand
