Despite the awkward name and a few motion capturing issues Sega's Olympic Games are a wonderful surprise this summer. The multiplayer is great fun, the commentators are rock solid and the extensive discipline offer makes an enjoyable game.

London 2012 - The Official Video Game of the Olympic Games is easily the best inspired Olympic Games to have ever graced the console world which features a collection of well made gaming events. As mentioned, the game does suffer from some repetition and it would have been great if the game featured an RPG aspect that allowed you to level-up and further your sports men and women.

The videogame adaptation of the London Olympic Games is quite a surprise. Leaving behind the "button mashing" gameplay of the past, SEGA's latest sports game delivers an exciting and enjoyable experience that's better suited for multiplayer sessions.

First off, i like olympic console games, ever since summer games 2 on the commodore 64. I feel that this game does everything pretty well. Its actually difficult to obtain world records ( as it should be ), archery is great, running events use a much better method than the old ones. its compelling trying to beat your times and the online has been done really well. Would definately reccomend this to anyone who likes this genre. Expand
  2. This is an excellent game, people usually give bad grades for Olympic games, but this is really fun. There´s a lot events and both offline and on line are great. Expand
  3. Sega's Olympic Games really added to the wonderful atmosphere of the London 2012 games. A wide range of sports and party options as well as realistic and flawless commentaries that add that extra bit to the otherwise monotonous gameplay. A must for multiplayer game modes for up to 4 controllers and the online play. Single player is OK- lacks a bit of the engagement of the multiplayer but nonetheless enjoyable. The game will most likely lose its novelty by next summer but with the Olympics finished, its your closest thing to enjoying the atmosphere of the real Olympic games. Expand
  4. This is a pretty good game, especially if you have 4 players. The online is very good, and quick to get games. The only reason I didn't rate it higher was certain events, table tennis is awful, kayaking is also terrible and beach volleyball is pointless! They could have put 3 better events in and this would have been a better game, maybe a long distance race where you have to judge your stamina. All in all though it is good fun, with a few things it could have been a must buy! Expand
