  1. 90
Mega Man 10 doesn't need high-resolution textures to turn heads and be an absolute blast to play.
  2. 90
The game is one of the hardest in the series, the bosses are still awesome and the old-school challenges will keep you pulling your hair out for months.
  3. Overall, Mega Man 10 offers all the nuts and bolts a diehard blue bomber fan could want in a retro sequel, while boasting even more content than Mega Man 9 with all its DLC combined. The game's technical ambitions are modest and it's not a life-changing experience, but it delivers nostalgic fun in truckloads.
  4. This tenth entry in the core series stands toe-to-toe with its predecessors in terms of gameplay and charm, and provides more content than pretty much any of them.
  5. 85
Mega Man 10 is easily a better game than 90% of what we play on a yearly basis. And you can take that to the bank.
  6. While the jump from the new Easy mode to the standard Normal difficulty is a bit too sharp, the game still does a fantastic job of capitalizing on the series’ best elements.
  7. Mega Man 10 is a wonderfully challenging package wrapped up in a charming, 8-bit time capsule. It has its tongue planted firmly in cheek and delivers a ridiculously fun experience for all.
  8. The formula may be a little over 22 years old, but Mega Man 10 shows that it’s still more than capable of delivering just as much fun as it did all those years ago.
  9. With the addition of Proto Man, a challenge mode, and an easy mode for beginners, Mega Man 10 has more to offer than 9 and can be fun for almost any player, not just the longtime fans.
  10. 82
Hard as nails, but still incredibly satisfying. [Issue#192, p.97]
  11. The Blue Bomber’s new adventures in 8 bit are still plenty of fun but, this game leaves you wondering, for how much longer?
  12. In an industry that moves forward with such pace, it's refreshing to find a series that is content to stay right where it is.
  13. Mega Man may not be as captivating and "new" as Mega Man 9, but the latest adventure of the Blue Bomber will not leave you disappointed. If anything, it will make you ask for more.
  14. With nearly 10 euros you gain access to a product with a low budget, but safe and solid as an iron bar in the execution.
  15. A game that was great, is great and will be great forever.
  16. The 10th installment in this long-running franchise proves that some formulas don't need to change.
  17. Even though it's more of the same old, same old (a charge that killed the classic Mega Man series back in the SNES/PSone days), Mega Man 10 is a pretty good 2D platformer and Mega fans will thoroughly enjoy it.

And again, I repeat: This game is really goddamn hard.
  19. Overall, while the game is still a great Mega Man title, it doesn't nearly live up to the fun of its predecessor.
  20. Never enough to convince you that it wouldn't be much better if it ditched the retro hardline and splashed out on some graphics. [May 2010, p.113]
  21. Not as good as its predecessor but a fun, nostalgic return to that blue guy we love to love.
  22. Not for everybody. The primitive graphics might scare younger generations of gamers away, but there's plenty to love for nostalgics and fans of the original Mega Man games.
  23. 70
Mega Man 10 is on certain moments a good game, but it drops stitches as well. Furthermore, the bosses aren't all original and the soundtrack is a little bit annoying. Still the game offers enough innovation to keep you busy for hours.
  24. The new “easy mode” drains any bragging rights from players who beat the hourlong game, as it lavishes them with 1-ups at nearly every turn.
  25. It's Mega Man, and there's nothing wrong with that. I'll keep playing them as long as they keep making them, but that doesn't mean that this new iteration isn't vulnerable to the same stagnation that the original series was.
  26. Without the brutal challenge, it's a game that will take mere hours to finish and even fewer to forget. [May 2010, p.101]
  27. Mega Man 10 doesn't quite perhaps have the sparkling feel of reinvention that its predecessor enjoyed, but if you were one of the many who considered MM9 a welcome return to form, then this is another must-buy. Everyone else is perfectly entitled to look confused.

  2. A really fun and challenging game. I don't give it a perfect score because not everyone can sit down and play it, save for the most hardcore of gamers. Having said that, the game is a blast to play. There's lots of replay value (challenges and time attack), the leaderboards provide something to brag about, and the game itself comes with trophy support. If you have a thirst for a real challenge and are quite fond of 8-bit graphics, this is the game to buy. I love it. Full Review »
  3. Maybe MegaMan 10 is a cash in by the developer, but you know what? It's a fun Cash In.

Let's get this straight, I am a huge Megaman Fan, at o
ne point growing up I prided myself in owning just about every official Megaman game released in the US all the way up to the GBA/PS2 era. love the series to death especially the originals. That being said, I was shocked and amazed by the announcement of Megaman 9 last year. It was absolutly brilliant and very bold, to counter stale and average reviews recieved by recent entries in the series capcom literally took it all back the begining and created a solid authentic and amazing NES throwback that I and most other fans ate up. Fastforward one year and now we have Megaman 10. Just like Megaman 9, it's still fund, it's still well made, and it's still 8-bit. The fan in me wants to be fine with this, however megaman 10, though it is still fun just seems to lack the charm of megaman 9. Worse yet, I just can't shake the felling that it feels like a cash in by the developer. I can't state enough that if you were a fan of 9, 10 is still a must play, heck if you missed 9 but still love the nes games it would be fine to pick this up as well. However, I doubt I am the only fan that will openly state that this game just feels like capcom capitilizing on the profits brought on by megaman 9 and a total cash in, but to it's credit it's a cash in that still manages to be fun, which is what few sequels of this nature are able to pull off.
