  • Summary: Mercury Hg expands on the addictive qualities of its predecessors, crafting 60 all-new deviously constructed levels filled with hazards and obstacles while adding improvements and polish to almost every aspect of the game. The 'Mercury Blob' is still as mesmerizing as ever, moving uniquely under player control, changing color in order to progress through the level and dividing if cut by a protruding surface. While this dissection is important to solve puzzles, the real test of a player's skill is the ability to navigate strategically through varying types of slippery objects and sticky tiles with the use of balance and momentum in order to get to the finish line with their blob fully intact. A scoring system with full online leaderboard support adds a competitive touch to an already engrossing single-player experience.     Overall, Mercury Hg is an engaging and fun game that will give you countless replay value and help entertain you and kill time. It's clever premise and unique use of the PS3's limited motion controls integrate well with the gameplay and help immerse the player.

    If not for the often failing SIXAXIS controls, this would have been the perfect puzzle experience. Simple, yet challenging gameplay complemented by a great visual style and ditto soundtrack make Mercury Hg a continuation of form for Archer MacLean.

    If you're looking for a game to get stuck into that can be played in smaller chunks as a fun little time-sink, this is a really good way to spend that 5 bucks. Go without a coffee today.

    With some good there of course has to be some bad. The standard music that plays isn't the best that I think they could have gotten, which made the custom playlist feature so nice for me. With a game of this pricing and quality I couldn't understand why they had to create a DLC for a later date instead of just giving me all the levels in the initial purchase. Mercury Hg is not really something I see spending money on twice.

    A really enjoyable small game. You have to know that this is really a small game but it's well executed. The puzzles are fun and the controls tight. It's fun to compete with the online leaderboards. The musics are great and the levels are variable, I truly recommend this for anyone who want's a game to play in between bigger games.… Expand
