MK: The Arcade Collection is bloody, nostalgic fun that brings three influential games back into the spotlight. Fans of MK won't want to miss this kollection.

Mortal Kombat: Arcade Kollection isn't exactly the comprehensive compilation that some fans were hoping for, but it does a good job of presenting three solid fighting games for a cheap price. Unfortunately the game is marred by poor online functionality and no extras to speak of. Still, fans of the series will find enough content to warrant the ten dollar asking price!

A retro-fused bundle offering some of the most iconic 2D fighters ever conceived, the MK Arcade Kollection is ultimately let down by a shockingly bad online component and dodgy sound issues.

Unless online gets patched I don't see myself going back there, and honestly unless somebody asks me to load it up, I won't be playing the Arcade Kollection much after this week. But ripping out spines, and desperately trying to remember the right spam moves to beat Motaro was a fun nostalgia break.
  5. However good this trilogy was, it feels odd bundling it together because the games are such incremental upgrades of one another.

While it may have its problems and feature lackluster content the games still hold up and are able provide an entertaining collection to fans of MK and other fighting games.

Unless the online side gets a serious fix soon there's little reason to play unless you have a dedicated group of friends that really love old-school MK. And if it doesn't get fixed soon there won't be much of an online community around to support it when a fix does happen.

Single player for all 3 games is pretty good, but not arcade perfect. There are some sound glitches. Online mode was the main reason I purchased this game, but it's so slow and glitchy that it takes the fun out of it. Expand

Me and my brother played the Mortal Kombat Trillogy game for the N64 a long time ago and it was a great showing all 3 MK games were put together on one collection. Now, I heard about a newer side of Mortal Kombat and turn it into an Arcade Kollection to download on the Playstation Network. Now, I don't like the idea of making big decisions to put 3 classic Mortal Kombat games on the PS3, but it's got a average start. Do we relly need to start being a kid again playing the old-school 16-bit games or trying to look like we're in Disneyland deja-vu again? No features, no extras, what's going on here? Well, I'll try on buying it, but I'll stick with the reboot of Mortal Kombat. Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection was a little over-the-top great, but a decent downloadable game. Expand

I also should point out that there is NOTHING as far as any extras to be found here. no trailers, no interviews, no cool little bonus extras... pressing select gives you the special moves and finishers, as well as some combo strings for umk3, but that's as far as this game goes as far as extras. that and the ability to put scan lines in the game to give it an arcade appearance... which is fun for about 3 minutes until the headache starts. and it's important to point out that as of right now, the online play is unplayable.. .. it's tough to know how much time they're gonna take to fix all these problems on what's really just a $10 purchase that probably will only appeal to the people that already bought it. To be honest, I played the first 3 MK's as a kid to death...but they're really showing their age now..especially with the excellent MK9 that's been out for a short while now. I'm very disappointed. Biggest waste of 10 dollars ever. This game is an insult to mortal kombat fans. This is literally the barest of any mortal kombat collection in history. I pretty much bought this game for the nostalgia and an enjoyable gaming experience. The online is pure lag and not enjoyable whatsoever. Collapse
