    With a limited budget and a short development period, Mud FIM Motocross World Championship doesn't have much to offer, even if you are a hardcore fan of Motocross.

    I have no idea why someone decided that MUD is worthy of a 'Triple A' price. The developers couldn't even decide whether they wanted to do an arcade game or a hardcore simulation. [July 2012, p.84]

    If Milestone had chosen to make MUD either a full-fledged simulator or an arcade racer, toned down all the in-game advertising and gotten rid of the soundtrack, we could have had an entertaining game. But not even a level set in the Swedish city Uddevalla can save this mess from being a really bad game.
