    This series finally feels "next-gen"...great graphics and lots o tracks/events. It's a fun game, I will say that the physics are little wonky at times. It doesn't take much to send your bike flying off the track (maybe a small rut) and it feels like your bike bounces around a little too easily. I would say that if you have the patience to learn the controls and stick with it it's a great game. If you're a casual gamer who wants a "pick and play" and be competetive type game you may want to rent it first. My only major criticism is the online lobby system sucks and it's very difficult to even be competitive online.… Expand

    As someone who has ridden off road motorcycles since a kid, I always look forward to Rainbows' next MX game. They understand and embrace the MX scene and its pretty commonly known that there are a few riders on their staff. I LOVE some of the ideas in this game. I actually like some of the other modes, like Omnicross, which kind of translates to a hybrid of real world hare scrambles and stadium offroad. These modes might be lost on people that don't really ride/watch the MX scene. My main issue is the controls. I understand they wanted to try something different, and its a novel idea, but I actually find it gets in the way most of the time. Fumbling around with both sticks just doesn't feel natural and you lose the "flowing" feeling of a rider working with the bike. Most of the time I feel I'm working against it. The other thing is some pretty cornball physics. It seems like this might have been partially addressed. When I installed the full game on my PS3 after playing the demo, there was a 151 meg(!) update to the game. The best way I can use to describe the feel of the bikes is that they lack a feel of weight and momentum, bouncing sideways off objects and coming off the ground over small bumps in corners that suspension would soak right up. I have to give it an 8 for all that they tried to include, but the execution could have been a bit more polished. I also wish they wouldn't have skipped the PC version this generation, because this looks like a game that could really benefit from the power of a good gaming PC.… Expand

    This game is a huge improvement on a series that had grown stagnant. For the first time ever the player can actually feel the sensation and difficulty of racing motocross.

    The controls are still great, the track design is at the top of its class and there are enough events here to keep you coming back for ages, not to mention a very solid and capable online component. If you're a fan of offroad racing, this is definitely worth a serious look, though don't go in expecting a completely different racing experience.

    If you're looking for a game to curb that racing fix you so desperately crave, or just looking for something new to give you a break from the endless array of shooters on shelves, MX vs. ATV Reflex will more than answer the call.
